you can go to the paths tab and theres a drop down and you can hit make work path instead of having to outline everything again. It is a lot more precise.

+Zaki Alam Hi, make sure you deleted the path first. If that doesn't work you can always just duplicate the layer and then move the object on the new layer. This is basically what the Shift-Alt is doing, duplicate layer and move object in one step.
You've probably figured this out by now, but if someone else comes across your comment and is curious, you can hit ctrl+r to enable the rulers and then drag from the ruler on to your canvas to get the guide.
Good tutorial but before anything you need to brainstorm mind map your ideas and will generate more, research and answer these questions name of company or person what do they do? if they sell something or do something? who are their target audience? and you create a sort of web to link everything then from their you sketch and becomes easier and have a direction to go in
SesO I did watch it :p but i may have not explained myself clearly sorry about that but by mind mapping i mean taking a word associated with what ever the client is or does and linking more words to it and will give you many ideas for sketching but also the questions or who is their target audience or what do they sell, what do they do or services they provide is answered and researched before starting to sketch and do thumbnail sketches, and doing to the process you've shown on here a lot of people in the design industry do it

Making logo in photoshop is wrong in so many ways. Use illustrator that's ment for VECTORS. If you need your logo scaled up/down, you need Illustrator with no doubt

This is actually very wrong, that process will have bleeding pixels around you "logo" and it deletes your work path. So i disagree

These simple flat logos are mostly fine in Photoshop, what he should be doing though is using his paths as shapes so they remain vectors in Photoshop.
