How do you play Leo vs mashers? You most likely know the match-ups and when to interrupt. But whenever I try to get my offense going, I either get counter hit out of it or I have to block for a solid minute and eat mix ups. I feel like if I picked another more mashy character I'd be alot higher lmao but I can't stop Leo's gameplay just hits different.
funny enough i cometimes run in to the same issue like you explained. leo is for sure not the best characte when it comes to playing mashy. you have to pick your moments a lot of the times and hope for your ch tools to hit like df2+3. the more i play the more i use all of his ch tools in an either aggressive tool or as a keepout tool. also grabs are a good way to stop the pressure since they are barely breakable on counterhit.
@Madara-en9oi I've been watching your videos since beginning, so I've realized that I need to go for that kind of playstyle. But the problem with fishing for a counter hit is that you have to have a basic understanding of wtf the other dude is doing. I can't even tell when their strings end, let alone their move's properties.
I’m telling you bro I would be a higher rank than most of these ppl Leo is actually an honest character and I made it to tenryu my first actual tekken game
ngl if the opponent is a masher just spam magic 4s and d1. works every time for me. if that doesnt work then its because youre having trouble reading their mash. if theyre mashing jab strings then high crushing with df2+3 is the move you want. if theyre mashing anything slower than 12 frames magic 4 will get them. and if they are on an evasive character d1 will do it. my favorite setup is d4 > magic 4. loses to jabs, sidesteps, ducking, but will beat any silly mashing theyre doing.
Madara , I am having a problem with our typical guaranteed stomp high damage wall combo. Sometimes it seems like a perfect splat, fast and proper timing for the powercrush ender but then there is a different flip over animation that doesn’t guarantee stomp. What’s happening there?
Ahh i see what the Problem is. That powercrush you are doing at the wall has to be very very late. Basically just before they slide of the wall you have to get that move out. If you do it to early they can hold back and block the rest.
@@gtothee5723 basically you can only do the 2 Punch if the first move you have done wallsplats. If you do a Combo and carry to the wall you will never get the chance to do the 2 Punch. So again the first move you have done has to wallsplat.

Damn that opening first combo was nice

13:27 Lovely combo, man! 👏🏿
is that first combo @0:01 only possible in heat? i can never do it. my b1, 1+2 always drops
I mean for the heat dash cancel you have to have heat yeah but b1 1+2 shouldnt whiff normally. Maybe you are too slow i dont know.
@@Madara-en9oi time to lab
man I didn't even know Leo could do that combo at the start of the video LOL
Requires SSL or off axis to Leo's left
@@BlondeVoyage12 nah you can do that from the normal axis. actually if it is off axis to the left the jab will whiff in the combo.

Was that a duck or a sidestep?
that was a quick sidestep to the right.

Bruh the German subtitles 😂 Why are Leo's lines translated to German from probably Japanese instead of just being transcribed from the VO??
yeah very good question. nobody knows lol
daaamn didnt know you could fc df3 pick up with heat on the wall.
