Once you complete your amount of rides, they will send you an email and tell you in your app that your eligible for the amp. Make sure your shipping address is correct and claim it. Takes about 3 weeks until you get it.

Driving for Lyft is a waste of time. Sure, you may make $150 in one day but your odometer will have at least 200 miles on it. Ask yourself this: Would you drive 200 miles a day for a job that pays you a little over $100 a day? That's about what you net after gas and wear and tear on your car. I just spent $9.00 on a taillight and oil is over $3.00 a quart. Lyft is not worth it. They take most of the profit.
What a waste of space, has to be plugged in at all times. It has four colors so it most certainly does not work at events. If yours is yellow... There will be a hundred yellow lights causing more confusion than anything else. This guy...he works FOR the company...

In my mind, announcing the fact that I'm driving for Lyft equals people seeing my sign and thinking "Look at that loser". I leave a Lyft decal out on my center console but without the sticky side having been peeled off to make it stick. It just sits there well enough for me. That's as much promoting of my current loser driver status as I am willing to do.

I prefer to call this the Lyft Loser Light, not to be confused with the Uber Beacon, a/k/a the Uber A Hole Beacon! Who would actually want, seek out one, or any of these crappy lights, or actually want it stuck to their windshield, or on their dashboard?? Certainly not me, and after 5,000 rides, and nearly a 5 Star rating, I have never used one, despite Uber almost begging me to come pick up my Beacon, er, A Hole light, that they had reserved for me. LOL By the way, I have never had a problem finding any of my passengers who were waiting for a ride, except for the time when there is a huge event, with hundreds of riders waiting for a ride. At those times the Lyft Loser LIght, and the Uber A Hole Beacon will not help you, or distinguish your vehicle from any other drivers, so the rider just needs to look for your make, model, and color of your vehicle. Use your head, and call if you are really unable to find your rider. Ditch the goofy and silly lights and beacons in the nearest dumpster!

Only a tool would use stickers, which are a pain in the ass to remove and reapply, unless you're an ultra loser who leaves a tacky sticker on his windshield 24/7. Lyft amp is easy to remove making it worth using over a sticker on that reason alone. Lots of passengers like the amp and the hello message, makes it super easy to find at night, and same as a sticker during the day. No reason not to use one.

In over 5,000 rides, I have rarely, if ever used any identifying signs, lights, etc. I pull out a creased, and tattered Uber asshole logo that I printed a few years ago, and put it on my dashboard on the rare occasions that I actually venture into the SeaPort near my home to pick up a rider, just to satisfy the control freaks that man the security gate. Once I am in the gate, the Uber asshole sign goes back in the glove compartment. Uber and Lyft give each rider a picture of the driver, the make and color of their car, their license plate, the driver's phone number, and the drivers name. Since the rider has all of that information, and the driver has the riders name and phone number, there is absolutely no need for Lyft Loser Lights, or illuminated Uber Asshole Logos! Get rid of your dopey lights, and other garbage like Cargo, bottled water, magazines, tipping signs, video games, Spotify, Pandora, mints, gum, iPhone Chargers, and all other non-essential BS items, and simply develop a personality, and good conversational skills, and maybe you will someday have nearly a 5 star rating like me. LOL I do think that you should ask Lyft to send you one of those F!@#%$#%#^& pink mustaches to put on your front grill, as that would probably get you close to a 4.9 rating within a year or so!

Interesting. When I applied for Express Drive, I got a Lyft amp, and I hadn't done any driving for the company.
I know a few people who actually bought the amp off this app called Mercari. Maybe they purchased it...

Did it flop? Harry had an unboxing several months ago in LA but that was the last I heard of it.

I don't see why not since it faces outward and isn't distracting, but to be safe you could turn it off until you arrive at your pax destination.

I had to email Lyft to get my amp l had over 271 rides and still took two weeks to get it. They didnt Give me jack l had to request.
