Good stuff, I want to use this system to control an ATO (Auto Top OFF) water system for my Turtle Tank. Basic operation 1. Open Valve to drain 20% of water 2. Open mixing valve set to 78 deg F to fill tank..Done but I will need to put float sensor switches in place to stop the drain and fill? doing a manual ATO will be ok for now especially when I use my Ipod touch to control it from the couch ;)- Oh yea maybe I get one to water my plants too!
@cypinate: perhaps you can make use of the available digital or analog pins on the OpenSpriniler circuit board to detect the float sensor status? Currently the available pins are digital 3 and 9, and analog 4 and 5.
Simply fantastic. Very good job for irrigation water conservation. Heart congratulations.
