Bucky needs to know the fans did not take that knife flip for granted.. The first time I saw it I almost fell out of my chair.
I still do
During the fight with Steve, at the part where he flipped the knife and caught it mid-air and almost stabbed Steve, I almost pissed my pants in excitement of Sebastian's work as the Winter Soldier
I still have a mini heart attack when I watch it lol
That was probably top 3 best hand to hand combat scenes in all Marvel movies
whenever I watch I make a little "hoo HOOoo" noise. everytim
that makes it twice as badass that sebastian stan was doing that knife fighting scene himself and not a stunt double
right? it's fantastic!
In the movie there's parts with the knife flip where it's Sebastian, like when Bucky takes it out of the holster, that's Sebastian doing it, but the midair flip against Steve they used his stunt double??? I have no idea why since Sebastian seemed to have it down pretty well.
How can you see?
Anthony Lee Actually if you learn the differences you can tell who is who in most frames. You can tell the holster flip is Sebastian because he has a very distinct vein pattern on his hands, and you can tell the flip they used in the movie is his double if you pay attention to his forehead and eyes. Their eyes are a bit different, plus Sebastian has a visible expression line on his forehead, his double does not. Sebastian also has a smaller waist, kind of like a less intense version of Chris Evans' dorito frame lol. His double has a more rectangular frame.
They did a good job honestly picking a double because its difficult to tell unless you see certain scenes slowed down or know how to tell them apart.
+Bucky Barnes Superpower discovered: The ability to identify Stunt Doubles in movies. Nice
That knife-flip thing he does is seriously one of the coolest action moments I've ever seen in a film. Sebastian Stan is awesome. He makes the Winter Soldier look as badass as he should be.
So true...
I'm ever rewinding to see that part because it's dope.
So cool, yet tactically useless. Looks great on screen though.
Marvel couldn't have picked a better man for the role. He seriously is AMAZING.
The only times Marvel has disappointed me with their cast choices, were when they casted Brie Larson as Capt. Marvel(🤮), Anthony Mackie as Sam/Falcon (ugh annoying actor 🙄) and the recast of War Machine/Rhodey (like Terrence better, nothing against Cheadle here) and of course ATJ Quicksilver (again nothing against him, just prefer Evan Peters' version), other than that every choice has been perfect so far.
@@LupitaSin21 chile...imma just pretend you didn't say that
No doubt that was Cap vs. Winter Soldier was the BEST hand to hand combat sequence in superheroes movies history.
Totally agree with you
Hmm I think there's a fine line between caps fight with Winter soldier and Blades fight with Nomac both really great fights
YES
The Auditor personally I think the camera work on the Blade fight was kinda distracting but the fight itself is definitely good
+Commander Shepard YES
I have decided to practice flipping knifes and become an assassin.
Does it have a good retirement plan?
+Ms.Bubba123 haha 😂 made my day
+Ms.Bubba123 👏
don't read my mind 😂😂😂
pls take out trump thx
That training really paid off. That knife work in the street fight scene...UNF! Flawless.
+minutemuse ikr? And yes, the fight some is no doubt the best of the MCU
+Alexiz001 dont forget daredevil hallway fight scene
PaulRB Oh, crap forgot about that one! Yeah that was awesome
+Alexiz001 And the Daredevil Season 2 Stairwell scene bruh
Torres Liam I haven't watched season 2
yes but WHY IS THIS SO ATTRACTIVE
+Lara Nardo lady boner alert :)
+Richmond laşma Yeaah hahaha
+AgustinMf2604 metaphorical boners ;)
Kat N it's a metaphor.. *in DRACS from guardians of the galaxy voice* ;)
Its the hair
Well that was hot
dc edits that’s what I’m thinking
Honesty. ✔️
Literally tho
I’m not disappointed either 💅🏼
Fr tho
Knife flipping + the amazing hair = beauty
Sebastian made that look so cool, I'm definitely suing his ass when I cut my hand open by trying to learn knife flipping skills like that.
Practice with one of these, then go and kick peoples asses. www.ebay.ca/itm/Plastic-Rubber-Dummy-M9-Bayonet-Blade-Knife-with-Sheath-for-Airsoft-Display-/171405995890?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item27e897ef72&_uhb=1
I tried with a fork
LMAO same here
Lauren Nicole tried it with my pen in class
Have to lern that. :3
0:45 damn Sebastion Stan was really that bad ass with the stunts? That makes him as Winter Soldier even cooler...
+Tom Rice Black Panther will whoop that ass on May 6th.
+Zach Esparza lmao, whoop that ass.
+Fernando Juarez he sure will. he's gonna bend him over on his lap and spank him
check out Ninja Assassin for real stunts
Senju Kidd Black Panther didn’t whoop ass bye
The winter soldier fight sequences were the best and most memorable in, possibly, the Marvel cinematic universe.
+Alice Definitely
Damn. And to know he's on a contract for nine films! I'm so pumped!
Holy shit. Sebastian Stan is a straight up killer with that knife
Winter Soldier's first fight with Cap. Was one of the best fight sequences ever
this movie has one of the best fight sequences i have ever seen on the big screen.
sebastian stan embodied winter soldier and he had a tough job because he didnt have much lines but he left such a deep impact just with his eyes only, he still managed to make winter soldier 3 dimensional character.
he looked so badass with his metal arm and long hair. i was so invested in his relationship with his lost friend steve.
it is so torturing to find yourselves on the opposite sides considering you were once best friends and now you're fighting against one another, that is sad but stan and evans played that relationship perfectly.
it reminds me of another iconic but broken relationship marvel nailed and that is between loki & thor!
marvel is indeed unstoppable powerhouse right now and i cant wait for the civil war when cap will throw it down against ironman....
This. I quote this.
Yep yep yep yep
@@SomeOtherSon Civil War is better
Who's seeing this in 2024 and remembering the good times?
i think we all dont take time to notice what actor have to go through to prepare for a superhero role they have to study diet workout train its a damn lot and hats off to them
The knife scene was so neat, smooth, and epic!!
Sebastian is pure perfection.
this fight scene, is absolute 'superb'
The stuntwork really shined through with Sebastian Stan's action work.
I'm so glad he's signed on for a bunch more movies! Fantastic actor
"Yes, that was money! That was money!" xD
sounded like he said 'that was nutty' lol
It was indeed money
Not only Did this movie have a solid story and cast but probably the best fight scenes I've seen in any Marvel film to date!
when the frist trailer came out...and Seb was flipping the knife...
i had to play that back like....10-20x....
+TehMomo same here i did this like 15 good times cause thats a stun alone by him not the special effects
no stunt double(for that bit..) no effects...just dedication.
ok Let's go
Ok but i legit thought the guy sebastian was practising with was chris
They pick 'em well
lol guy sebastian
Because of the video thumbnail right?
It's says a lot about Sebastian Stan that he can look sexy even in ugly-ass sweat pants.
+Stacey Vermilyea the secret is the plastic knife
+PopkornStar So that's what he calls his little friend. :P
+John Orlic *snort*
John Orlic
His “little“ friend is ten times bigger than your *tiny* friend.
I actually quite like those sweatpants 😌😌
I'm only watching this clip for the 10th time now. that's perfectly normal. no, i don't have a problem. i don't know what you're talking about.
I fully admit I have a problem and I don't care
that knife flip is such a turn on
ikr
All that knife practice paid off. I watched this with my brothers the other day and they both were like "HOLY COW, DID YOU SEE THAT KNIFE FLIP!?" and I was like "Yeah, you know he actually did that? It's not an effect." They were both extremely impressed.
Shout out to James Young for choreographing this masterpiece of a fight.
Dat knife work tho.
I pity the poor guy who tries to mug Sebastian Stan with his martial arts training...
I mean it was only choreographed, they werent exactly winging it.
@@marcobarot9888 He still handled the knife dude, it wasn't CGI. Lmao
Sebastian was great. Really hope he's back for 3
He'll be back for 5 more.
if you've read the comics, he'll be vital -.o
GavinUK86 "He'll be back for 5 more."
He's actually got 7 left on his contract (he signed a 9 film deal, he's done 2 films so far). Of course, the thing to remember is that Marvel doesn't *have* to use him that many times, it's just that the option is there if they choose to go that route (on the other hand they could just as easily decide to kill his character - for good - after, say, the 5th film and never use him again - not that I think they'll do that).
***** Evans later clarified his statement and said he's not completely giving up acting, but that he does want to focus more on directing. He also said that he would love to keep playing Cap as long as they grow & expand the character
***** hes going to be the next captain america
That hair
the force is strong with this winter soldier
0:03 when I first saw the movie I thought Black Widow was trying to strangle bucky with like a floss
BW: CLEAN UR DAMN TEETH BUCKY!
Bucky: NU! STAHP!
hahaha
😂
nice xD
😂😂
I bet it was a weapon to split his throat
Sebastian Stan is an model to me. He does all of his own stuff. I love him so much, He'll take responsibility for what is his. He's truly a great guy.
The first fight between Captain America and Bucky Barnes on the street near the overpass was the best fight that I've ever seen in an MCU film. The choreographers, stunt personnel and actors did an amazing job in that film.
Who’s here after Bucky fought with knives again in Falcon and the winter soldier episode 4?
_What is it with knives?_
@@mikeoxmaul45 😂😂 good one
@@mikeoxmaul45 they are out
4 years later, still pretty much the best choreographed fight in movie history
John Walker: "what's with all the knives?"
He was so good, after seeing him in The Covenant, Gossip Girl and his short time as The Mad Hatter in the Once Upon a Time universe, this was just amazing. I mean of course he's in the first Captain America but this is completely different. His entire physique changes throughout the video as they show him practicing. I heard he's signed on for 9 films... I hope Bucky sticks around for a while and Winter Soldier even though he may not necessarily BE Winter Solider anymore, doesn't just disappear.
Oh shit that was him in the covenant huh? Didn't even realize till I seen u say that. I love that movie, very under rated
SoulMusic24 Yeah it's underrated and though it's a guilty pleasure, it could have been sooo much better. I have many problems with that movie lol
Hahah very true. I mean it did come out almost 10 years ago. If it were made today with the technology we have now, it woulda been soooo much better
SoulMusic24 It's not even just the technology, it's the story. I just always felt that it took a weird left turn and it should have been about the four brothers and not just Caleb. It started off that way and then became very narrowed and I didn't like that.
+Alyxwrites i'm thinking that they are gonna have him take up the Shield...
cause Chris's contract is ending soon...and it's canon that Bucky becomes Cap...
brb gonna buy a plastic knife
vrafiqa
Gerber mark 2 is the one he used in the movie
Zach thank you
vrafiqa
No problem
Holy shit he actually flip a knife lol
I thought it was a CGI
Can't wait for Stan to take over as Captain America.
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
Snake Nope all you want, that's how the Captain America story goes: the next Cap is a reformed Winter Soldier.
+romxxii Bucky (judging by the footage for Civil War) seems like a heartless jerk and while he seems to care about Steve, he doesnt seem to care about much else so...no
Well I'm guessing that you would've been pretty disappointed considering the fact that Falcon's gonna be the next Cap.
(Although for me, Chris Evans as Cap is irreplaceable)
The training really payed off. Those fight scenes were fantastic & they all looked amazing. All. extremely talented & gorgeous!
he did his own knife flips?? sebastian is a badass
0:45 that was cool af
Sgt Pepper e
I keep smiling everytime I see Sebastian ❤
Legit knife work. I will applaud him on that.
RUclips just decided to recommend it to us after 6years
Love the dedication
HOLY SHIT SEBASTIAN I LOVE U
Holy shit, I didn't think he'd done the knife moves himself...I'm done. That fight (particularly w/his knife) was probably the best of all the Marvel films. Hot!!!
haha! he said: Sebastian's a great winter soldier, very "LOKI", down to earth guy......
yea I was caught off guard I was like, so we're talking about Loki now? aha
Naw, pretty sure he said "low key" not Loki...
momecat its a joke man........ there are memes about it.
Alex Lino ahh guess I was Loki'd xP
He worked so hard at training for that and they used his double most of the time.
yeah agree..i've watched the fight scene so many times, with 0.25 speed also, so i can already tell when it is Seb or when it is his double..really dissapointed that they didn't use his footage with the knife flip, even though he clearly could do it.. :\
Shhhhh! Don't give it away, dummy! Us ladies are enjoying thinking that Sebastian is doing the whole thing LOL!
Sebastian !!!
Every once in a while, I come back here. Just because it's so cool
0:46
Holy crap, that was incredible.
0:24 "Sebastian's a great Winter Soldier." That makes me proud!🤗
The knife-flip is just absolutely amazing. Everyday I find this man more attractive. He is too good for earth...
Bucky Barnes is definitely one of the best looking characters in the MCU along with Thor
I can't get over Sebastian and how he fought with the knife! Best fight scene I've seen in a long time!! And it's amazing that he actually did it!
that fight scene was great now I can rewind it like 3x when the DVD comes out.
And it's awesome to know that a lot of it is Sebastian, not a stunt double. He was a total badass. He just had this presence as soon as he first appeared.
yeah he does hope that we see him in Cap 3
OB sidious Good news, the Russo Brothers have already p much confirmed that Cap3 will continue expanding/focusing on the Steve/Bucky relationship! :) collider.com/tag/captain-america/
Thanks Bucky has been cool since the 1st Cap movie.
OB sidious Yes! Bucky is one of my favorite marvel characters (both comic and movie version) so I'm really excited to see them expand more on his character post-Winter Soldier. Maybe we'll even get some Bucky!Cap? :)

makin' my way downtown,
flippin' knives,
training for the Cap fight,
du dunununununun dundundundun...

*flails arms because cinnamon roll is too pure*
That was one of my favourite shot in the fight scene too
Playing with the knife by flipping it could save your life from real danger.
Soup Marine how?
@@TheLambertus you can just flip a knife and scare away a robber, as example, cause thats gonna look like youre a profi :)
Daria Haydey I think showing your knife is enough, but flipping it is also cool I guess.
@@TheLambertus Someone could be like "wutcha gonna do with that" and if you flip it in a cool way it shows you know how to use it. 🗡️😎
This has only dangerously heightened my fascination with knives. Now I'm just constantly going to cut myself trying to recreate those moves. Thanks Sebastian.
I've already cut myself a few times but I'm getting pretty good. I've always had a fascination with knives though.
honestly, its the knife flipping that makes me swoon ~
Okay but Sebastian Stan doing that whole knife thing was hOT 😭
somebody give him an oscar!
Just when I thought I couldn't love Sebastian more :3
0:35 woooow,anyone else?
i always tbought this fight scene was the shit it was only a knife a shield n atraight fist a cuffs. yea def in my top 5 fight scenes n movies. training really pays off. bucky is a beast. and i love his costume.
Whoever has the final say in casting at Marvel Studios needs a pay rise!!! Perfection!
those knife skills.. its kinkier then fifty shades
Brie Larson: I do my own stunts.
Sebastian Stan: Hold my beer.
First he flips a knife and now a motorcycle, what's next?
hopefully, pancakes for Sam and Steve in their underground lair
absolutely no one:
my brain: *ME*
Omg it was uploaded today!! On my birthday, best birthday present ever!! Lol love Sebastian, he was amazing! Can't wait to getb my hands on the DVD :)
why have I watched this 500000000000000000 times?
It's just so mesmerizing O__O
I added this to my favorites videos
I added this to my favorites videos
He deserves a title lead role.
omg!! falling in love with him he seems to be a hard working actor. a little bit awkward in the interviews sometimes but he's very real and down to earth.
I am in love with Sebastian Stan
"That was money!"
haha what?
Or in the words of Anthony Mackie: "cut the check!" :-)
Absolutely CRAZY that he did that knife scene by himself instead of using a stunt double, big respect to Sebastian for that. It's so cool!
Chris Evans probably has the best run of any movie star I've ever seen
Badass Bucky !!!
Winter Soldier aka Captain Romania FTW ! :)
Sebastian looks so attractive as Winter Soldier.
He's so talented I'm excited to see more of him this year
Man, the fight scenes in CATWS kinda made the fight scenes in TDKR look like a petty pillow fight
Exactly
One of the reasons this movie was so damn good: It's Metal Gear. Straight up, with even some Revengence in there. I love it.
I thought of that as well as I was watching it. It just needed to replace the helicarriers with Gears.
I've had it explained to me a few times, that Winter Soldier is the best Metal Gear film we will ever see. To wit - a legendary soldier who's the lone successful test subject of a secret government program to create super soldiers, battles an apparent terrorist leader with ties to his past, all the while working to uncover a conspiracy within the ranks of the government and intelligence apparatus to unleash a devastating super weapon that can kill millions of people. There's also the opening tanker level, and the pivotal scene where it's explained that the plot was instigated by what amounts to a sentient AI.
Sebastian: *practises knife fight*
Me: *ThAt WaS mAgEsTiC*
this is why that movie was so good, they paid attention to detail, and 19 might've been 45 seconds and I still remember to this day is my best hand to hand combat moment in the MCU, next to Winter soldier spy with Batroc im the same movie
I probably shouldn't be finding this fight sequence as arousing as I do...
Guys got mad knife handling skills.
One of the best fights in the MCU ever and I finally saw its BTS! Amazing!
He is so cool
