We have very similar stories when it comes to skin problems! I’ve struggled with acne since I was 11-12 and now I’m 30. I tried everything, literally everything to no avail. I even did a round of accutane back in high school (it worked but only for about a year and then it came back. I was using 100mg of spironolactone and saw a difference but it didnt completely clear me up. I switched to 150 and BAM my skin is so clear. I still get an occasional pimple here and there, but they’re pretty small and typically I can figure out what caused it. Maybe try going up on your spironolactone one more time!! I’d hate for you to stop it when all you needed was a slightly higher dose. I feel for you girl! Hang in there!

I have had horrible cystic acne for all my adulthood and have tried so many different products, supplements, talked to doctors and dermatologists..everythingggg. I tried out Boscia skincare and my acne has never been more under control. It’s insane. Everyone’s skincare journey is their own, this isn’t an ad of a comment lol I just hope you can find something that works for you! Acne is so uncomfortable mentally and physically and finding a true solution is so reliving. Sending good vibes!

i started on 25mg spiro and didn't see any change but i've been alternately taking 50mg and 75mg daily for a few months now and i'd say the results are totally worth it! my skin isn't completely clear, just like yours, but the difference in it has changed my confidence completely.

Sami Clarke here on RUclips did Aviclear and it completely cleared her skin. She said she loved it. Might be worth checking her channel out to see what she had to say. I’ve struggled with acne throughout my life too so I totally know what you’re feeling. Not picking is so hard but maybe we need to put some kitchen oven mits on your hands like they do when kids have the chicken pox! Haha. Thanks for updating us!

I had hormonal acne since 15 years old and the only thing that honestly really helped me was tretinoin. I’ve been using it for over 6 months and holy I only get like 1-3 pimples during my cycle per month and that’s it! If you’ve haven’t tried it. Give It a shot! Oh and I never really changed my diet either. Still enjoy treats

omg stop im a medical aesthetician and have been struggling with my skin and the 5th derm ive seen wants me to do accutane but after hearing about this (not sure how I've never heard of it with me being in the industry lol) im going to ask him about it. I did price check and it looks like $3k for all 3 treatments together which isnt too bad but im nervous if it doesnt work then thats 3k down the drain but honestly that kinda sounds less terrifying then the side effects ive heard about accutane lol deff keep us updated!

I had hormonal acne when i was 15, went on yasmin for 10 years and 6 months ago went off it. The hormonal acne came back so i looked into herbal pills. I started taking teh following and in a month my acne was compleatly gone: ashwaganda, indolplex, vitex, saw palmetto, licorice and peony. It's all natural but stablises your hormones which causes the hormal acne.

I’m literally at my wits end with my skin, it’s just getting worse and it’s so painful. Calling my doctor for an oral antibiotic, and this was on my list to discuss - so thank you for sharing your experience!

Excellent information and thank you for sharing your journey. It does get better with age - getting older means less breakouts but dealing with other issues such as dry skin, wrinkles, etc. keep us posted on your laser treatment. Hugs to Tika! 😊☺️🥰❤️☀️🌴🌴🪸🥰🥰

I was on spironolactone (100mg) for about 4-5 years because I get really bad hormonal acne on my chin and it was good! I just think i got used to it and it stopped working in the last year so now im on antibiotics. Taking medications for acne is 1000% worth it :)

Have you heard of Inositol? It’s a natural supplement that specifically helps with symptoms of PCPS (acne included). I just started taking it but heard really good things about it. If you’re thinking of stopping spironolactone maybe it’s worth looking into especially for a PCOS lifestyle x

I take 200mg of spironolactone every day and I had my first Aviclear session a week ago. For me it was 10/10 painful, especially around the mouth and chin. I 💯 wouldn't have been able to go through it without Tylenol and the gas. There's definitely a purge afterwards too, but just superficial and those of us with cystic acne aren't worried about this, I'm most scared for thr week before my period. Cystic acne leaves deep marks that micro needling can't treat sp just crossing my fingers I won't regret getting this.

Omg girl I’m in Van too! It’s been 2 months since my last treatment session and the results have been pretty good now that the purging is over, but now I’m starting to get back and chest acne!! Before Aviclear I never got chest acne and only got back acne a handful of times a year. Lemme know if you start noticing a change like this too 🙏 Wanna figure out if it’s just me? Haven’t been able to find any news on this

I’m 30 years old and I had the worst hormonal acne flare up towards the end of last year. I also started out on 25mg spiro in November then upped it to 100mg about 5 weeks ago and I just now feel like my skin is finally normalizing! This is in combo with oral antibiotics and topical meds. It’s just gonna take a while for all my dark marks to fade. Are the Aviclear results temporary or permanent?

Hi Erica, thank you for your question! Backed by a 2 year clinical study none of the patients have needed any touch up treatments post their last AviClear session. Results continue to show 6 months to 2 years post their final session.
