Beautiful! I'm sure that Mr. Ives would have absolutely loved this. I was surprised to find this video tonight, as I've searched for this incredible symphony several times in the past few years and not found it. I'm also a little surprised that mine is the first comment in the more than 5.5 years since this video was posted, especially coming as it did from Mr. Ives' alma mater. Wonderful playing, brought tears to my eyes. Bravo!
"And so I decided to go into insurance"- Seriously though, well done for your bravery though I think some of the sound could have been better balanced (but that's the nature of the piece I guess) and the pre-recorded bells cutting over everything was a bit of a shame. Full marks for tackling this notorious work however.
Rather than music that stands apart and is admired as art from a distance, this wonderful music puts you right in the middle of the intensity of life.
