Great summary DC, you are learning Padawan! 😂😂😂 Learn the technique well and the speed will follow. Not only that but efficient sprinting with correct technique (for the particular athlete) will reduce the chance of injury and long term damage.
I have a question and nobody already answer me yet : When running do we have to move our arms faster or try to move them faster or even think to move them faster ? Same at the block start should we leave the block start by moving the arm really fast or. Take out time ?
The arms dictate the range of motion with the legs and direction of the body. However the arms and legs works in unison to generate the driving force. If you think about it in this aspect if your arms cross over when running then your body starts to rotate, also if your arms are small then your legs will be short.. Arms and legs are a team not separate...
First step out of blocks should be quick and low to the ground, and arm should have this quick motion too. Second step(and next X steps) should be much bigger, as the arm movement should be bigger too.
