Ben Samples You are correct! I wanted to have the same framing as that scene but I watched the behind the scenes for Irreversible and a lot of it was CGI, so I hid cuts as best as I could lol
@@bowwoo My advice to you would be to use a bounce board outside to brighten up the shadows on you subject. And if you can't afford good film lights, cheap LEDs are about $20 and a stand is around the same price. If you don't wanna buy the gear then try using the surrounding lights as your key. The lamps in the hotel room are a good example, get your subject close to it. A medium to close up shot would suffice and can create a very personal and intense look to your film. But the finished product is great nevertheless.
Cine Circuit I have standing box lights but the bulbs were toast and my money was spent on the hotel room. I do have a double-sided bounce board so there's no excuse there haha Did you do a short for the competition?

Really great editing and very original!
That was really smooth, but oh was I not prepared for the brutal violence.
Very interesting premise. And I take it you drew some inspiration from THAT scene in Irreversible?

Cinematography and editing was well done. I just wish you lit your shots.
Cine Circuit Thanks, and I agree. I edited on my Mac with the monitor brightness up which is way it's dark on any other screen lol
