Haha, that's a very good question and something I've been asking myself, but the truth is that my last pair of boots (considered to be the top hiking boot of 2023) fell apart quickly and I haven't been bothered to get new ones since. In the meantime, the converses are comfortable, lightweight, and keep things interesting with minimum ankle support and grip on the road 😆
@@edyhekul Makes sense now Good luck finding the right pair. The lugs on my Kathmandu hiking shoes wore down and turned out to be hollow... ripped off! Now in Salomon Outline GTX (aka Outrise), which I'm liking, I'd invest in the Ultra when these wear out for a slightly wider fit. I thought Salomon was only for trail running until i saw them on @kraigadams
Geez, definitely robbed there by Kathmandu! Now you've got me looking at hiking boots... good one, John! The search is on for the ultimate hiking boot - I'll keep you posted! 🥾
That is a tough 5/9 difficulty climb. Congratulations for conquering it! Hope you appreciate and climb and cheers to more Philippine mountain adventures. 🙂
It was amazing to be able to meet and spend time with you and your family. Thank you so much for such a great time, for showing me around Pampanga, and for making this hike possible. It is an experience I will never forget, and I hope to meet with you again in the Philippines!
Always love virtually hiking along with you, but why are you wearing what looks like Converse shoes on a hike?

Wow. Finally seeing this vlog, Luke. Incredible view indeed but for sure it wasn’t easy going up.

Wow! Nice one Luke 👍
I've been to Pangpanga but I never attempted the hike.
Hope it wasn't too humid😂
Enjoy the Philippines.
Thank you! I had zero water left to give to the humidity that day - intense 😁
Humidity is around 80% the whole day here.
lets gooooooo Luke!!!!
Yeeeah @ForrestLee - here's a heart!
Is it recommendable for 15 year olds? My friends and I went to White Rock a while ago but I think we can climb the twin peaks if we prepare seriously
I don't know, to be honest. It's certainly challenging, but not impossible. I still have nightmares just thinking about this hike 😉
Thanks Luke, another energetic, adventurous hike ! I could feel the humidity. Did you see any animals, like snakes, birds, monkeys?, mosquitoes.
Hello Penny Plant, this one definitely took it out of me. I saw two snakes on the way down - one alive and one not 😬
Hi there, do you have Chris contact info?
I unfortunately do not :(
