If anyone does decide to use their sewing machine for the zipper, please use your walking foot as you would for quilting as it actually does WALK over the bulky knitting stitches and makes for a much smoother join. and stitching line.
Wow Amy I know you say you’re a winter but the rust sweater you’re wearing is absolutely beautiful on you and looks so harmonious w your colors! I think it’s very possible you’d be a deep autumn!
The Whitmoor looks so much better! Kudos to you for starting over. Also, I'm sure the "stripey" effect is being intensified by the kinky yarn right next to the newer yarn. I have a feeling that once the FO hits the water, it will just look beautifully tonal and wonderful.
Knitting for olive looks like a book that one wants to knit every single thing in it!! Thank you for your making your videos ! I am so enjoying watching you while I am knitting !
The knitovation book looks so great! Your whitmoor Cardi is beautiful ❤I think it was so smart to add the short rows, cardigans can sit funny at times, so I’ll have to try that on my next cardigan.

You brought home some beautiful yarns from Europe! I am more of a one-project-at-a-time person but I see the appeal of casting on new things. I haven't knitted any Knitting for Olive projects yet but I see the appeal of the designs, the Waffle Sweater looks beautiful. I also really like the Nature walk(?) sweater on the cover. Thanks for the giveaway.
I would knit a hat & mitt set with the stitch dictionary…I think it would be perfect for gifts. From knitting for olive I’d knit a sweater for myself! ❤
Nice to see you again, Amy! Love your new acquisitions. I think that sweater with cables will look very nice in that tonal yarn, the tonality is so subtle, it might actually help with the definition. Make the sample, try it out! Also love the color of the sweater you’re wearing, it fits you so well! As for the book giveaway question, I’d love to knit the pattern you showed from the Knitting for Olive book. If I was doing color work, I’d love some psychedelic waves in two tone or maybe white snowflakes on light blue socks or mittens (seems like a cute Christmas gift option).

Thanks for going through the two books too! I can see the stitch dictionary being useful for small things like coasters too if one just wants to give a design a go, but not have a giant commitment piece/wip. I didn't know Knitting for Olive was being released in English too...all the cozy sweaters!! Thanks for sharing your journey with the zipper sweater. I've never ventured to adding zippers, but your feedback is really valuable and appreciated.
