Ahhhh! You’re literally in my front yard! You’re correct. I’m gobsmacked you haven’t been here considering how long you have lived here. It’s such a beautiful little city. You have to come in the summer. The energy is just vacation mode all the time. Wooden Spoon is definitely the hot brunch place. Next time you come I highly highly recommend Ulis on the waterfront. Everything I’ve ever had there was exceptional. Then stop by The Mason Jar for some fun little boutique shopping. There’s a designer consignment shop in Ocean Park down the road that you must go to as well! It’s so weird seeing to walk places I walk every day. Im so happy you discovered White Rock ❤️

Occlusive moisturizers and oils will be u best friend in winter Lan. Even thou it feels great, make up sprays drying on u face contribute to transepidermal water loss and will dehydrate u skin
If you went to Deep Cove your could have got the best Donut ever Honey Doughnuts. Head to Golden Ears the next time if doesn't rain for a lovely walk/view/misty morning. Sunrise is the best there, but bring snacks and coffee. Bowen Island for a night is loooooovely, or just head to Squamish and up the gondola for a cute view (you can hike it but it took us 3+ hours slippin in the snow with a small dog!)

Fellow Canadian here to suggest a warm mist ultrasonic humidifier for the winter months. It will help your dry skin. We have a large capacity one for the main floor of the house and a smaller one for our bedroom. Makes a huge difference for dry skin and nose/throat during winter.

Allana, I was recommended a moisturizing green tea toner beneath my LED mask. I use the IsNtree Green Tea Fresh Toner. It's not occlusive and allows my very dry skin to feel quenched until I finish with my LED treatment and douse my skin in moisturizer. ♥
I also suffer from insanelyyyyyy dry skin & I recently discovered the Glossier After Baume moisture barrier cream, it is incredible!! It’s super thick but truly makes my skin hydrated. I even use it with the Skinfix moisturizer on extra dry days and they layer nicely together! I haven’t used a ton of glossier products, but this one is so good

Cute vlog! I love seeing gorgeous Canada 🍁 Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Aero is where it’s at. You only have to wait for it to dry, then you can get dressed and the best part? You DON’T WASH IT OFF!! It also fades really nicely. Just remember to moisturize your body every night. I applied it the other morning before I left the house. You literally don’t get tan on anything. AMAZING
You have to try putting body powder on top of your tan if you are sleeping in it. It’s a game changer. You don’t feel sticky, it doesn’t transfer etc. Looked like you guys had a great time!

Might I suggest a hydrating toner for your dry skin? I Ike the Klairs Unscented Hydrating Toner. I do 3-7 skins, or layers of it before moisturizer. Makes a huge difference in moisture levels! Love your content as always!
Sometimes White Rock has music and dancing by the water, and I highly recommend checking it out, so much fun!

Crescent beach is a good vibe. Cotto Al mare has yummy pasta and pizza and if you book it at the right time, you can watch the sunset while being warm indoors
You swore by the Weleda Skin food moisturizer a while back and it saved my dry skin so much! Trust me when I say you need to try the Rare Beauty Always An Optimist Spray, it will bring back the dewyness after all the powders. I swear by it as a fellow dry skin girlie! Plus it smells like a Spa in a bottle . I use the Rare Beauty mist after powders more like to bring the glow and not set with the Charlotte Tilbury mist I set, it’s the best combo.

Dry skin gal here, like peeling skin. I used Sunday Riley good genes and dermalogica milti vitamin recovery mask overnight. Dream combo. Not only I don’t have peeling, I have a glow in the morning and also reduced pore size. Please give it a try. Oh also I apply Vaseline some nights too. 👍🏼😀

Funny story about White Rock! My mother went to visit White Rock from the Soviet Union in 1990, and found the entire city stunning. Warm, beautiful flowers, sea breeze. She fell in love! She packed up our family, and decided to make the permanent move to Canada. Assuming ALL of Canada looked like White Rock, we landed in Calgary in May, where the weather was -10 and a foot of snow on the ground. She cried for a week straight! 😂

This is going to sound weird AF, but when we visit Vancouver, we drive round Stanley Park and go squirrel-spotting. There are an inordinate amount of black squirrels in Vancouver, and although I had grown up in a country with them, I had never seen a black one. I didn't know they existed. There aren't any squirrels in NZ, where we now live. On our second trip, I sent a picture of one to my brother - and he and his wife had friends round, and apparently everybody was fascinated and had never seen a black squirrel either. Honestly, it's the simple things that keep us entertained 🤣
