Following! This is going to be a good series. Having had 5 XC90s, I am still interested in seeing videos like this. When I was into modding mine there wasn't much out there. Very few people were modding them. Good Job.
I was just looking at the Ridge Grapplers for my Xterra! Ended up going with the Terra Grapplers though, since most of my driving is on road (and they were a bit cheaper).
Great video! I wasn't able to get a XC90 as the one that I wanted was sold. I did however get a 2010 XC60 and I love it!! I am definitely going to do some customizing to it like getting the front windows tinted and some new speakers.
@@BernonCars I agree! I installed the dash cam. The wire to the rear camera was definitely long enough for the XC90 with how much wire I had to figure out how to hide..lol
What's up man-great series. Ive got a 5cl 2005 I'm making into an overlander, and I figured you would be a good person to ask a strut question. Im considering switching my stock front and rear struts to Bistein b6s, which are "stock" ride height. In order to gain a lift, is it the spring that does that? Or are strut spacers really my only option for lift?
@@BernonCars I went ahead and ordered the CCP spacers, as well as some delrin subframe bushings from BNE which apparently dramatically increase the steering feel off these cars. In regards to the lift, I was initially planning on ordering some coilovers. A company called Ceika makes them for the p2 xc90 and you are able to choose to add lift. Thoughts on that?
How did you solved the problem with the rear coils and shock absorbers?....cause on the XC90 they have nivomats and oval shaped coils that do not work with the lift kit you got
Another follower from Spain. I also have XC90 and I want to prepare it. But I considering sell them and buy a Jeep Commander. I don`t know maybe after I seen your series I will take it.
I have a 2001 V70XC and put my spare on the roof. Do know that you need to rotate that tire into your service. I rotate my tyres every 5k miles when I do the oil change to ensure even wear. You have till your next oil change to get another wheel and tire. I’ve included a link to how they should be rotated. It’s called the “forward cross” diagram G on the link. This must be done or else the entire reason you got the spare; to have same size tires all the way around as not to damage your AWD system, will have been for naught. You also said you have the wrong spacers, would the ones you incorrectly ordered fit my 2001 v70XC?
@@BernonCars Do you have another means to correspondence I don’t exactly wanna post my phone number on an open form like this, do you have an email account you use for your RUclipsr followers?
@@BernonCars oh wait it’s a 63.1 not 65.1, we’ll damn that’s not going to work. It would be very difficult to machine a 2mm thick sleeve out of a hard enough material that would be up to the task. Well dam I though I’d help ya out and get myself some spacers for my project.
Would love some day in the future to own a lifted XC90, but a 5 pot diesel with the manual gearbox. Have loved them for years as my parents bought a 2007 D5 5 years ago. Love the video!
Why don't you add the link to the parts you are buying for this XC90 in the descriptions?

Im super excited!!
Excited to follow this build!
I’m so happy!!!

Oh sweet!! Ahh yeah I looked at those too! I hear good things about them
BFG Ko2’s are the best tyre hands down in the rain.
Can't wait to see how it turns out. I want to lift mine, but other projects are getting in the way.
I’m excited! We just finished the front a few hours ago. Rear later today!
Im def a fan of the Cooper Discoverer AT3...( I have them on my Tundra ..first gen)...& had them on my old T100
I’ve heard good things about them too!
Interesting video.
I got carried away.....suspense filled!
Haha more to come!!

Thank ya!! It’s aftermarket!
Also dude love your content you're a really good video presenter
Thank you!! 😁😁

My XC doesn’t have the nivomats
Lucky you 😁....Mine is a D5 2,5l Xenium from 2011....i need to make a conversion from nivomat to regular
From my understanding from CCP, you just need new shocks.

They are great vehicles!
Are those sebagos love that brand

Good point.
Its possible! As long as it has a 5x108 bolt pattern and a 63.1mm hub bore

how about the quality still good enough ? Often out of work or not 🙋♂️?

We will have to go off road

I would love a D5 Manual!
what size spacer is needed to clear the spring
I got 1.25” spacers and even those are close to the spring with 265’s. Probably a 1.5-2 inch spacer will be far out enough, but the tires will rub
@@BernonCars i just got 255/75/17 yokohama gladiators for my xc90 and realized i would need spacers real quick lol

LOL with time my friend. Yep the tires are too big without them
@@BernonCars no time, I need the drug right now 😭. Tyres too big without the spacers? You mean than they rub with the suspension?
