Okay the Show is called "The good Doctor".
The girl and the boy met during the chemo. They both had cancer. While he got better, she got sicker. She had this big risky operation to take some of the tumor out, so she wasn't allowed to go to prom, the one thing they worked so hard to go together. Her mother (the woman with the teddy) didn't allow him to visit because she was afraid of what would happen to the girl if she would lose him.
But the female doctor saw how the girl became depressed from his absence, so she arranged this whole prom at the hospital after her mother left, so the two of them could have this memory together. But the Mom came back to give her daughter her Teddy and saw them together. First she was angry that the boy was there even tho she especially said not to let him visit. But then she saw how happy her daughter was. The happiest she saw in a long time, so she just went home, letting them have this night. The next day the girl had her operation and died on the table. The mother and the boy both griefed but the mother said thx to the doctor for the memory of her daughter's smile.

It was extremely sad, i literally cried dude. Dude i only knew that Girl for 1 episode but the story was just so sad. Both of them met during chemo but she fell ill again. She didnt survive sadly. Claire the other girl is a surgical resident and she arranged this prom for both of them since she couldnt go to prom.

i had brain surgery and they told me there was a chance i would have no memories when i woke up from surgery. i woke up asked for my mom and any time i would see a visitor i would tell them a bunch of memories i had with them like how at my cousins wedding we danced to dancing queen by abba together and how my tia took me and my twin sister to disneyland as a graduation present, how my sisters best friend doesn’t like onions but still asks for them at subway, how my brother made me clean glass out of the driveway in the middle of winter and more

I graduated, but never had the opportunity to go to prom, it is what it is. I grew up thinking high school would be this big experience, and it really wasn't. It felt like I was a background character in a movie

Something like this did happen my daughter witnessed it while sitting with A special kid who was in a special ward going to all the details. I didn’t think they did prom in this country, but apparent they do.
It really doesn't either. I didn't even waste time going to prom or even graduation. I got tired of getting kicked in the nuts and bullied by girls at prom. I instilled fear in those kids to keep them the fuck away from me. I had them mail my shit I didn't even go
My friend had her 8the grade dance in a hospital. She was battling leukemia. She’s still one of my best friends and has fully recovered!
It does sometimes! This is the kind of thing a good palliative care department can make happen.

My local hospital has done stuff like this. Not long ago a couple got married right before the wife passed of cancer.
The entire staff got together and made it such a beautiful and special day for the family. A bridal store in town donated a dress, as well as places donating decorations and what not. The world does suck but it’s not fully bad
