It's funny, the first time I watched this, I hadn't heard of Myanmar (although I did know about Burma), and I thought it sounded like a cheap pharmacy. Then Kramer says the exact same thing moments later. 😅
The actor said that Kramer's clothes always look like they didn't fit him because they wanted it to look like he's had these clothes forever & never threw anything out; in fact, if anyone threw anything out, he wanted it (e.g. Seinfeld's suede jacket that got ruined in the snow).
@@Janexcalibur all of the main Seinfeld cast's clothes were purchased and tailored specifically for them except Michael Richards. @@rumblefish3034 Kramer's clothes, especially in the kater seasons, were random at all. All his polo-like shirts were these silky printed ones. Ditto with those short pants of his.
Ah, are those the type of pants that when you outgrow them, you can cut them up into equally sized panels, bind them together, and turn them into a sketch book?
How have I never noticed Jerry's exaggerated expressions when Kramer asks "Is the job too difficult? Do you not have enough experience? Are you not smart enough?" lmao
Kramer: "You follow your katra, and you can do anything." *leads Elaine out the door and into the hall* "Now, get outta here." Elaine: *turns around and giddily smiles* "Okay." Kramer: *slams door in Elaine's face* 🤣
This was a great episode. They left out some of the best moments though. I loved it when Jerry yanked the cord out of his telephone; so he could rub it in to Elaine. Doofus?
"I know Jerry says Star Trek 2 is the better picture but I..." *gets shoved* Then all the kids see Kramer can be beaten so that's why they gang up on him at the end. Brilliant 🤣
I'm watching Seinfeld after having seen a lot of Curb, and it's shocking how much of the material of Curb is a redoing of stories from Seinfeld. I guess it's Larry's way of saying, "see this is how *I* would have done it if there'd been no interference from you guys".
We love you Cosmo. You just stole the scene… Elaine smoking that cigar behind that big desk says it all. The urban sombrero makes the cover of the catalog? Say it ain’t so…. We need Morty Seinfeld….he worked with Harry Fleming and they made big bucks using cheap fabric and dim lighting…. Now that’s how it’s done.
The cigar puffing "its a peach" was amazing
Probably from some old film set in a newspaper office.
Myanmar... "What's that the discount pharmacy?"😂
It's funny, the first time I watched this, I hadn't heard of Myanmar (although I did know about Burma), and I thought it sounded like a cheap pharmacy. Then Kramer says the exact same thing moments later. 😅
The way Elaine say "O.k" like a naive little girl at 2:35 and Kramer shuts the door in her face without even looking back gets me every time. :}
100% it’s gold
She can be very cute, like when she was drunk in India calling Jerry Jugdish
Well then I was WAYY OFF!! Love his delivery of that line 😂
"I am not qualified to run the catalog!"
"You're not qualified to work at the catalog!"
She's more qualified than Kruger.
3:29 apparently Jerry is the duffus
@@job489 So you're just criticizing people now? That's your job? To criticize people?
@@EvilApple567 Yes...?
Women are better than men.
I like how in a later episode, you hear an umbrella salesman complain about how the urban sombrero has stolen so much business
🤣🤣🤣
And when Elaine is on a bus, the two guys sitting next to her were talking about how the urban sombrero cost them their marriages. 😂
I love how Kramer's pants are just short enough to be comical, especially combined with white socks.
Kramer is Fonzi.

That sounds about right. Kramer's fashion style looks to be predominantly from the '70s and '80s.
I am amazed how Kramer always managers to slide in the room.
They must have something slippery on the floor to get that effect. Like really little ball bearings.
Kramer saying he's dominating the Dojo and is class champion 😂😂😂😂😂 while fighting against kids😂😂
It’s not about the size of the opponent it’s about the ferocity
They're all at the same skill level!
No way you saw the clip too
"What are you doing?"
"Well...... I'm dominating."
Every episode makes me and my brother laugh, this stuff is gold.
Its gold jerry, GOLD!
Best written tv program of all time.
It's a bad sign when Kramer gave her advice from one of the odd number star trek films lol
Next thing he'll say to give God a starship, or bury a legendary Starfleet admiral under a pile of rocks on some barren backwater planet.
Well, the Wrath of Khan was the best of those movies.
I loved urban sombrero. It was even better than Himalayan walking shoes or Norwegian ice fishing vest .
How awesome would somebody be if he wore all of those things at the same time? What about Swiss Mountian Climbing Gloves?
Don't forget Eddie Sherman's description for the quilted chambray nightshirts!
Urban Sombrero.....no way it can go wrong...especially on the new york subways.
I could buy an urban sombrero for hot summer days.
I modelled in the Peterman Catalog back in '96. Summer Edition, page 22, Moleskin Trousers.
Ah, are those the type of pants that when you outgrow them, you can cut them up into equally sized panels, bind them together, and turn them into a sketch book?
I thought it was all drawings.
The way Elaine ran the J. Peterman catalog is the same way that I’d see George running the catalog, with complete and total ineptitude.
Ineptitude. Cheers!
This guy is a dunce.
Like Kramer’s time at Brandt Leland.
@@matthewriley7826 It goes to show that none of them had any leadership qualities. Is that a surprise? 😆
She’s always BEEN George dude.
Elaine is the best female character of the comedy history
why?
she's still one of the least funny characters in seinfeld though
@@sparrow56able check in with your doc, your meds are off
I'd say number 2 after Betty White
She's right up there with Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett. And has multiple Emmys to prove it.

In a later episode, the street, umbrella vendors were complaining that they had to compete with the Urban Sombrero now.

Kramer - That kid’s going to be fine
Jerry- No she’s not

I still call Istanbul, Constantinople.
@@ModMokkaMatti Alfred Pennyworth calls it Burma so I will too.
The discount pharmacy?
Burma is the correct name . Myanmar is the name the British gave it .
I still call France Gaul.
You told me I could run the company
Kramer: well I was way off. LoL
Elaine: katra at 1:57 lol
Love it when all of Kramer's classmates gang up on him at the end of the episode!
Tiny fists of fury.
That little show of weakness with Elaine was all they needed.
This is simply too funny. Pure comedy gold.
I was waiting for the scene when she visits Peterman in Burma..."Are you an assassin?" 😝
She was sent by grocery clerks to collect a bill. 🙃
She shows him the catalog with the Urban Sombrero on the cover and he only replies "the horror, the horror..."
25 years later the show's still funny
Kramer & his Karata tales!!!!!
This is the greatest playlist and five minutes per video is perfect because it brings back the whole episode
I think we all have had an Elaine type boss in our life!
1:25 Jerry's reactions gives us an answer on how Elaine would run the Peterman Catalog.
Masterful!
4:23 The horror... the horror...
It's been more than 20 years since I saw this I forgot how much I love Elaine
Kramer: My legs, they were like noodles. at 1:50 lol
Simple lesson when taking over the company: *Don't listen to Kramer.*
I think that applies to any lesson Kramer provided.
The lesson is don’t listen to Kramer in general.
I was way offff!!
If he tells you that the sun rises in the east, get a second opinion.
My grandma used to get a J. Peterman catalog back in the day.
LD is a genius
Elaine is very good at repeating words with surprise... Burmaaaaah

The urban sombrero can help you keep a social distance.
😂👍
I even sleep in mine.
just ❤ how elaine just pulls that huge sombrero from nowhere!!!!!!
"Why, indeed" might be one of the most slappable expressions I know.
"YES, WHY?!" no one ever thinks to reply. Why??
O’Hurly was brilliant
YOU are the doofush! 🤣
What's crazy is the urban Sombrero is basically in style now with middle aged women in Los Angeles thanks to Cam Newton
Middle aged women don't even know who Cam Newton is
I'm glad I don't live there, then. 😗
“Well then I was WAY OFF!!!!!”
Omg....almost took krayzie Kramers eye out 🤣 🤣 🤣
GREAT Elaine episode.
Recently watched on RUclips a PBS documentary about SD Jr... truly one of the most versatile talents of the 20th century...
J. Peterman was one of my favorite characters.
Damn that sammy Davis line just landed for me lol
I would say Elaine should let Kramer to run the Catalog because he dominates what ever he touches 😂🤣😂

Katra is a Vulcan term
Looks miles better than the wide-screen version currently on Netflix.
Thanks to the decision by Sony, going all the way back to the analog-to-digital conversion.
