The band is her band. Most of the band members here are still with her.

The furies are her actual band members. I believe most of them are still with her to this day. I can recognize at least two: a bass guitar player and the guitar player in the back.

Just so you guys know, she did a rock version of this on her 1989 album tour, electric guitar, raspy voice, and leather outfit and all. It is soooo good.

Fun facts: this song is allegedly about a big Hollywood celebrity
(Did you notice the scene with the scarf?)

      Do you mean allegedly?

    • @musicfangirl7403
      @musicfangirl7403 4 месяца назад +6

I mean, can we just say it? It’s “allegedly” about Jake G who is a known lover of indie music, and apparently was very dismissive of her music. She wrote songs about him that were deliberately as pop as possible so he couldn’t avoid them.

@@musicfangirl7403 Why would he be unable to avoid them bc they were pop? Yes, I think it was on purpose but, just bc he didn't like pop. I don't think she thot that'd ensure he heard it tho.🤷🏼‍♀️

    • @musicfangirl7403

Because she knew if the songs became successful on the radio like her previous hits then they were unavoidable.

I get that you guys are Hollywood producers and like to watch music videos. However, you are missing out on some of Taylor’s best work by only listening to/watching her music videos/hit singles. Her deep cuts are phenomenal. All of the songs on her new album have official lyric videos so you may want to check some of those out.

No it wasn’t the actual phone call lol. Taylor Did say in an interview while she was in the recording studio. Her ( Jake Gyllenhaal) ex-boyfriend‘s friend was there and said I heard you are getting back together and she straight up said We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together so then the producers or whoever she was there with said hey we should write a song. So basically that’s how the song came about lol. Love this classic TS song 🫶🏼❤

Aw, so sad that you missed it was a one-shot - I was hoping to hear you guys talk about the production of a one-shot and how difficult that must be! And also, that is her band (or a lot of them who've been with her forever) - and they were SO MAD about the furry costumes. No one told the band they'd be animals for the video, and it apparently took some time to calm them down and convince them, but once they did, they owned it.

That recording if from the studio work tape and the impetus for the song! She was working with Max Martin and Shellback in the studio on a different song when a friend of Jake Gyllenhaal (the ex this is about) came by to say hi and mentioned he heard they were getting back together and the second he left Taylor started ranting about how they were definitely NOT 😂

Taylor was a theater kid. She’s very into the theater design aspects at her concerts even. Her speak now tour concert was very theater like as is the Eras tour. Especially the TTPD set.
She hires broadway actors for her tours and is very involved in the stage design and every aspect of it and likes having a theater like show to her songs. Her speak now tour is available on her channel. It’s really great. Eras tour is obviously available also

Also her Grandmother, whom she has a song about, named Marjorie, about her passing, was an opera singer and used to take Taylor with her to her opera shows and her mom also used to take her to broadway shows. She has a real love for theater

Love all Taylor’s music videos, even the old ones. They are very good, and show another side to her music, and show how young she was when she started. It can also show how much she has progressed because in my opinion her vocals have gotten better.

Jake G hates pop music. She wrote a really fun pop song to let him know her feelings and because it would get so much air play that he would have to hear it when he was out and about. Taylor being savage again..... and we are totally here for it!!

Would love to see a short “about us” video to better understand what kind of production work you do (generally such as sitcoms, film, commercials, etc.) and how you got into the reaction channel genre.
It would help us with our recommendations on what you guys should check out.

They did one that may answer some questions...look at their first video "HPR - About Scott & Sam" (ruclips.net/video/LsaUIK9T9O8/видео.htmlsi=Lv9XN3QSsXUhNBDd). Also, they've occasionally mentioned bits about their backgrounds in some of their Taylor Swift reactions (and probably some of their other videos too).

The "We Are Never Getting Back Together" video is so entertaining that I didn't remember that this was a one-shot music video! I had to rewatch it. Taylor Swift has 5 wardrobe changes. (I gotta think they had a number of takes, which could have been exhausting for everyone involved.) It's very well done.
In some of her music videos videos, Taylor Swift wears some of her store merch. Here, it's the colorful squirrel pajamas...and, yes, I have a set. 😅
Thanks for another Taylor Swift reaction! 👍

If you guys are taking suggestions I highly recommend reacting to Billie Eilish’s new album Hit Me Hard and Soft as well as Chappell Roan’s album called The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Imo Billie’s album will be a contender or winner of Album of the Year. Chappell Roan’s album should be a contender for Best New Artist imo. I loved both these albums. Zero skips on both for me.

The live "Rock Version" she did on the 1989 Tour was insanely good. That's why I always say, I would like to see and hear what a Taylor Rock Album would sound like.
