- It’s incredibly brave to sing an original song during the Blind Auditions. You won’t just be judged on your singing, but now your song is being judged too. This didn’t scare 21-year-old singer-songwriter Maria Petra Brandal when she entered The Voice Norway. Her original song ‘Lonely’ was so good, Coach Espen even said it was the best he’d ever heard on The Voice. I'm 100% you would have heard it as it's a popular song.
Matoma is a very emotional person in real life and has the ability to connect to people quite easily.
I think about this everytime i see him react this way. It is very moving to see someone resonate with another persons talent.

No frills here. The voice, the words, the delivery and the beauty of the sound. I think she is a remarkable singer. My compliments as well to the Voice Norway. They know what singing and musical presentation is all about. Fabulous orchestration and subtle and appropriate scenery. In the US we have lost touch with all of that. The graphically generated scenery seems more important than the singer and the song. Maria Petra Brandal. A beautiful name for a beautiful singer/songwriter who I believe will long share her talent with us all. Thank you.

Norway has the best panel of judges overall.
Who hurt this girl? Who broke her heart? She sings with emotion you cannot fake, and you can see how it affects people. Those judges' eyes well up in more than one song. She's been through some things, and it connects, strongly, with the audience.

The duet "To fix you" is my absolute favorite, amazing voices, both so talented and so in tune with each other...Brilliant!
The duet was my fave. It's refreshing to see how much more minimalistic and down-to-earth The Voice in Norway is compared to other countries'. No theatrics, just humanity and music.

I searched for the "original" for like 20 minutes till I found out that it's her own song. It takes a lot of bravery to choose your own song on such a big stage
Over my 65 years I've heard a lot of great singers and I think she has a beautiful voice. I could listen to her every day.

I’ve been a fan of hers since her audition but had trouble finding any of her other performances on the voice, thanks for compiling her whole journey.
While there are singers with better voices than her, she sings in such an emotional way that one simply cannot learn. It hits the soul directly, and I like it that her coach seemed to be on the verge of tears with each of her performances

The moment I heard her Original song, "Lonely", I was hooked! I loved it, I wanted to keep hearing it, and I thought she was BEYOND talented!!! Also, I wanted to know what they were all saying in the Blinds very badly, as I am watching this as a fan from the U.S. from the sunshine state of FL, and love watching this Voice and all of them really! But I DEF. got hooked on this season of The Voice Norway, season 6. There were just so, SOOOO many, great vocalist on this season, and all of them had their own unique sound & way of how they delivered that special sound even. I dont know if I'm even making sense, or explaining that well enough, but it was all special & I highly recommend this season to watch!
* But Maria Petra and Natan Dugar were my absolute FAVE from the get-go!!! As Maria Petra sang her song, I teared up instantly. And it takes a lot for that to happen w/me. She just sings w/so much emotion behind EVERY lyric; it just completely makes you think you are the only 1 there she is singing too! That's special, and amazing talent! ❤️ And I have to say Natan Sugar pretty much sang his song just like that way all too, w/so much emotion, sincerity, truthfulness, and just WOW,...he did actually give me goosebumps. I felt EVERY word he sang!! If you ever paired Maria and Natan up as a singing duo pair, they just be the Ultimate Voice Dream Duo to have!! Lol!! But in all seriousness,...Maria was just thee best! I am from Israel, such a voice and an occupying personality like Maria find one in a million. She is so special, you can not stop hearing her. For me Maria is the big winner and it is a pity that it did not turn out that way but I have no doubt that she will be famous and there will be lots of people waiting for her performances!
Every performance was so heartfelt, raw, transparent, authentic & completely touched my soul and kept a knot in my throat. She is extremely talented beyond words… she hits straight in the soul!

actually I think that was her worst performance by far of all the songs on this video... she was a bit off for most of the song. I'm guessing she wasn't too familiar with the song and probably didn't have much time to prepare for it... Not the best song choice IMHO.
