Depending on the helmet and how you mount the mic, as is always the case, it does a good job of muting background noise. Most of the recent generation of intercoms do that very well actually.
There are a couple of cellularline intercoms and I have a hard time choosing because their site doesn't have comparison. Have you tried them all? Can you suggest one??

I have the tour and the urban model. The urban is nice and loud even at high speeds but the tour speakers are very quiet even on the highest volume setting! Why is this?? Any advice??
Did you test it on the go for the road noise and if it bothers the conversation between passengers and outgoing calls??
