FUN FACT : Your vid was uploaded at the same time as a short on the Sonic The Hedgehog RUclips channel.
Why are your thumbnails look like ytp thumbnails ?
@AhmedMalaki why not? lol
@ not saying as a complaint
Just that when I saw it
I was expecting some usage of the word sos and sentence mixing to make the characters say ass
"Dont cry, it makes my knees hurt"
Because her crying would be the equivelent to rain, and SOOOO many people say the rain makes their knees hurt.
I only JUST now realized this.
why on earth do people say that
@masterziggycat9779 live in the south with old people, you'll hear it
@@masterziggycat9779usually you hear older people say it, and thats because rain brings cooler air, cooler air makes peoples joints (most typically is their knees) so "i can tell its gonna rain, my knees hurt" has some slight scientific merit behind it!
huh
@@masterziggycat9779 pressure change and they are affected by it.
I have too much nostalgia for Monsters VS Aliens for some reason lol
Me to. I just like it
Same, I still think it's a pretty good movie
Same, absolutely iconic childhood film for me. Saw it in theaters and never seen such person on the big silver screen since😔🙌
@@ShGravL Awesome! I remember watching the Monsters VS. Aliens show on Nickelodeon back in 2013 or 2014 lol
It had massive potential to be something big
Monster vs Aliens was a great film despite its flaws, but come one, every movie has its flaws.
Exactly. I think DreamWorks should give this movie another change just as long as they hire the same voice actors and make sure that the animation quality is just as good if not better.
Every once in a while we used to get a movie that was nearly flawless. But movies are like food, some people like boiled cabbage, some people want spicy tacos.
It also had one of the best 3D scenes that I've ever seen, it even looks 3D in 2D format
Honestly, If puss in boots can get awesome follow up that completely outshines the original over a decade later , i would love the same thing to happen for MvA .
Imagine a remake/reboot that gets a crossover with Megamind
@LathanFitzpatrick-vx5zp YES!!!!
It would be so funny if they just decide to cash in on suicide squad by making fun of it and sequels in general, the movie already had a goofy Mel Brooks parody vibe so I could see that.
@@williamaguilar5519 That could totally work honestly.
@@SaborBell-Marquez like imagine them completely making fun of the fact that no one remembers MVA even being a thing and when they hear the concept they just think of suicide squad.
Love that you implied Dr Cockroach was played by the character House MD and not the actor Hugh Laurie
DreamWorks is either S tier animation and storytelling, or just memes and pop culture references
Shrek is both those
I wouldn’t really consider any of their catalogue “S tier”, except maybe Prince of Egypt. Some get close, sure, but I wouldn’t call any truly “S” tier.
@ true.
But Shrek… sure is the closest.
I sound weird I know. But anyway yeah, true.
@@alexgomez6723 Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is absolutely S tier fam
Don’t RUSH me, Bulbasquirtle.
There he is!
Oh, hi, Quin.
huh, what are you doing here? well hi!
Ayy it's Quinn
The giant woman from this movie was so fine. I was so mad at the groom for leaving her and making her sad
a white haired 50ft woman does something to a person
Ge-
Bruh!
I get it... But still WTF
Seeing giant Susan as a kid irreparably changed something in my brain chemistry
I'm honestly not surprised you didn't mention the deleted scene where B.O.B yells "Leroy Jenkins!", nobody knows about that. That scene would've made it peak cinema! Also, I never saw the movie as a kid, even though I do remember getting a McDonald's toy of Dr. Cockroach
I used to have a McDonald’s toy of B.O.B. that I got from a thrift shop lol
@@SawyerIque Mine came from McDonald's itself in a happy meal

i love the rise of adhd movie recaps this is great love all the little jokes you make!
How the hell does this comment have 10 likes
Dude big fan
Fun fact. For some reason they added Bob to Madagascar kartz on the DS. The entire game is just based on Madagascar, but for some reason, Shrek and Bob are in the roster.
They don’t have tracks or anything. They are just in the game with no explanation for some reason
I guess Shrek and Bob are just too epic that they transcend franchises
They have tracks in the PS3 version, Shrek has his swamp and Bob's map is the big mothership of the evil Tentacle guy in this movie. Really peak video game, I think, lots of memories
Wreck it Ralph was added to sonic Sega all stars racing transformed
My dad and I really love this movie. It's one of the funniest and most quotable movies I've ever seen. I think that mainly comes down to that wonderful dynamic between the monster trio. They're all funny on their own, but they also bounce off each other so well. The Robot Probe is unironically badass as well.
R.I.P The Invisible man.
Fr 😞
No one heard a word he said
@Hrmnbut_me. Has the memory gone are you feeling numb?
He'll never be missed. 😞
@@Hrmnbut_me. You actually get to hear him in a like 10 minute short film that takes place before the movie where they monsters try escaping their facility, and I'm probably one of like 20 people who have seen it
My dad always brings up the don't scare insectosaurus line. Also I'm genuinely surprised this movie never got a sequel. I feel like it has alot of potential
Me too. I wish this movie got a sequel. I wish it did. Hell, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek, Puss In Boots, they all got their sequels. Why can’t this too?
@Warrior2044 I feel like it has alot of potential for creativity
@@mikerenois2220 Me too. I hope DreamWorks change their minds and decide that a sequel would be a good idea. But they better hire the same voice actors and they better make sure that the animation quality is just as good if not better than the first movie.
@Warrior2044 I'm sure they would if they decide to make one
@ And I hope they do.
Monsters vs aliens is low-key a masterpiece, the robot probe makes me on the edge of my seat
I watched this movie so much when I was younger that when I first heard of the legend of Zelda’s main character, the missing link was the first thing that came to mind.
The piano scene is iconic
The amount of Sonic references is crazy
I counted at least 17 or something.
This movie manages to somehow be iconic and and forgotten at the same time like it never comes to mind when I think dreamworks and yet it has such memorable scenes, like outside of the obvious piano and jello scenes, stuff like Susan skating with the cars or even just sitting on the gas station is like a core memory
omfg please do Gnomeo and Juliet
that movie was literally the only knowledge I had of Romeo and Juliet for a while and I thought it invented the concept
This movie honestly had so much potential to be something. If Puss in boots can get a fallow up years later that outshines the original than so can MVA. Like imagine if they just completely embraced the goofy Mel Brooks parody style they had and made a movie that makes fun of the idea of sequels or what Hollywood has done to the old monster movies that they parodied, universal owns the rights to it so MVA can go all out with its portrayal of old movie monsters.
Here's a fun fact, Japan made their own version of Monsters vs Aliens only as a series - it's called Dandadan 😂
Seeing giant Susan as a child awaken the sapphic in me
I literally watched it once and I can only remember her all these years
Seems like a good idea to bring up that I'm still waiting on the Planet 51 review, would love to see that one as that's like the bottom of the barrel late 2000's/early 2010's somewhat big budget animated movie that nobody remembers until it's mentioned.
12:42 Also, the invisible man joke is priceless, definitely the highlight of the movie.
31:15
I don’t mean to be a know it all but I can explain how Penguins of Madagascar fits into the time line. It takes place after the Madagascar trilogy and the Penguins movies, in the post credit scene of the Penguins movie, we see the Penguins return to the circus in New York! And for how the lemurs got here, they arrived in the opening intro in a crate. There simple and easy explainable, love these videos keep up the good work.
I used to have this movie on dvd…I still remember waking up in the middle of the night to it just starting to replay on its own and terrifying me. Good times😭💜
I have the play movie background engraved in my brain now from how much it played
The thumbnail Really made me laugh hard 🤣 and the smell of "FLAMES!" Was funny!
Monsters VS Aliens is peak and I don’t CARE what anyone says. Am I very much so biased by my childhood nostalgia? Yes. Do I care? No.
Honestly, dead serious, this is one of my favorite movies :3
I remember watching this movie at school and it was so fire, I'm not much of a film critic I just watch movies and enjoy them but this is probably one of the funniest movies I've seen (this is not a bot btw I cant believe I have so say that💀)
Real shit
The tv show absolutely looks like it’s not finished rendering 😂
Oh yeah I remember this. I could not understand why Darek did not want to be with his giantess girlfriend. That is a dream come true. That was the only thing I remembered about the movie.
Took me too long to say this, but honestly, I love these videos because they're basically what me watching a childhood movie nowadays looks like. A mind in the gutter, tons of random meme riffs, hyperfixations, and unironic hype, but an objective view for what the film does right and wrong in real time without needing to be pretentious about it.
“DreamWorks Animation has always never really been all too consistent”. I swear, this phrase just started appearing for almost a year, and no one ever said anything about DreamWorks being inconsistent until the Wild Robot’s release.
I don’t see anyone making a video about when DreamWorks went inconsistent, or if DreamWorks did get inconsistent. I guess i have to make a video on the DreamWorks’ consistency. That and the whole Marvel trinity thing.
The kid friendly Creature Commandos
can’t believe James Gunn rip this movie off for his show dreamworks should sue him
@anthonycuevasproduction Well, actually creature commandos are based on the dc comics with the same name 🤓
"I will see you guys tomorrow. For Lunch."
God, why can't we have jokes like this nowadays. Genuinely one of my favorite movies from my childhood.
4:08 BTW it's a gazebo. I know because it has a funny name.
Good old gazebo. I personally know it from an H3H3 video.
I only know what it is from that wayside episode where the principal wants a GAZEEEEBOOO
Never knew what it’s name was until I saw Sonic Boom.
So… the first twenty years of my life.
Every time I forget about the Beverly hills cop keyboard breakdown.
"Eeeeeeh eeeeeeh eeeeeeh"
"C'mon Axel we are out of bananas, let's go"
This Movie Is Basically Just A Writers Poorly Disguised Fetish
Not even disguised at all, you can see all 49'11" of it from miles away.
18:07 As someone who had the grueling job of putting away shopping carts for 6 non-consecutive (I.E. both 3 month periods around the holidays) months this is BASED. As HECK.
ironic how the "Monsters" save the planet from Aliens, but then the President nukes the entire world on accident.
truth is, the Humans were the monsters all along.

10:30 That whole scene is a homage to Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Have you seen that film? I wouldn't really recommend it though.
6:15 That room is MASSIVE, but you know what else is massive????
What?
MY MOOOM
I watched this movie a lot as a kid. The biggest thing it did for me was be one of the things that gave me a fear of giant violent robots!
Those scenes were so scary. The robot in the distance, and then the main character looking away for just a couple seconds and then it being so much closer than before. And it happens twice.
I really love big caterpillar guy tho, he a cutie fr.
I love how your videos are just how my brain is 24/7
Hotel transylvania X Hazbin hotel would honestly go so unbelievably hard

Fr
That’s what I’m sayin!
I honestly think not referencing the Potty song from the series was a missed opportunity. Song goes so unnecessarily hard. Which is the entire joke, but they managed to do it perfectly ironically unironically.
I had McDonalds toys from this movie, and no joke, I gave my Insectasaurous away to another kid who had also stolen my Arceus in Pokémon Heart Gold, but I just ignored that I guess.
i love the sheer amount of sonic references in here LMAO
I fondly remember Monsters vs Aliens. I rewatched it a few weeks ago, and I personally think it’s pretty underrated. It’s not a top tier Dreamworks movie, but it’s definitely not as bad as people like Dazz make it out to be.
ah yes, the scariest thing in Monsters vs Aliens - Burger
He’s BACK - agent stone
There was a bonus disc included with the DVD of MvA that was a short about the monsters fighting alien pumpkins or something. Weird as hell but I kind of miss the novelty of movies receiving extra content like that.
DUDE I REMEMBER THAT. I would watch it like every Sunday morning because it was the only DVD that wasn’t scratched. Tbh I thought for a solid 3 years that I just dreamed the whole thing up
They were fighting pumpkins infected with whatever was dumped from an alien craft. I will assume it was hazardous waste and stop there.
@ No way - people remember this!!! God for the longest time I thought that short was a weird dream too. I remember enjoying the bonus short and it's too bad it never got a Blu-ray release.
Probably the most terrifying thing in my childhood lol
It had a sequel were they fight carrots
19:30 "You must be terrified. You wake up in a strange place, wearing strange clothes, imprisoned by a strange bein' floatin' on a strange hovering device. Strange, isn't it?"
"Hardly. It's not the first time."
"Wow. You really get around."🤣
I first saw this movie when my age was still in the single digits. Crazy to think about.
Yet it still left a big impact on my life, looking back. The humor is great too. Although tbh I can't help but feel bad for Susan. She is literally just a slave to the US government at this point (or I guess some kind of international Monster Gang, because the ending implies they have to go to France to fight a snail)
To be fair on the animators, they were still in very early Pixar-level of animation...
I have no idea why but I watched this movie a lot, like, we had the dvd and the crazy frog thing was the thing I remember most 😭
11:30 "What idiot designed that thing?"
"You did, sir."
"Fair enough. Wilson, fire somebody!"🤣
Me and my family went to the theater when this movie was later in its cinema run; I had the option to watch the new Star Trek movie that had just come out with my dad and older sibling, or I could watch this masterpiece with my mom and younger sibling. I chose this movie. We sat in an empty theater, just the three of us, and all I remember was “Ambroooooosia” and the flirt with jello scene. I don’t regret my actions, but they do add perspective to the adult I grew into.
At this point you might as well do a retrospective on every Dreamworks movie in one video..
"as the bride gets groomed"

Bro I thought this was gonna be a ytp😭
My grandpa owns a copy of this movie, and I don’t even know where the disc went
I love this movie. One of the first films I saw in the cinema with my mum after a coma

2:06 That burger is the most realistic thing in the movie.
This was actually the first film I got on Blu-ray when my family upgraded
Can i be honest here, MVA was one of my favorite childhood movies that i watched.
Seth Rogen truly makes everything better
i used to watch this movie ALL the time as a kid and i was absolutely obsessed with the whole franchise. it's probably one of my first autistic hyperfixations, if not *THE* first.
i remember playing a monsters vs. aliens flash game starring BOB at some point but i can't remember anything about it other than him saying "hi! i'm bob!" every time you respawn lol
I remember being so obsessed with this movie as a kid fr! I don’t care what people say, it’s still fun!
