How much of the airflow from the vent is cut off with this display installed? I really like the way this looks, but I don't want decreased airflow through the vent.
@@SavageOutlaw17 you probably won’t feel a big difference. I actually made a video on that topic, you can watch it here - How much do they ACTUALLY block? | P3 Gauges ruclips.net/video/aQcS-UVPcrE/видео.html
Yes, this gauge will work on all mk7 Jettas, including your 1.4. If you have any other questions, please shoot an email to service@p3cars.com and we will get you taken care of, thanks. -Jake
If you pause the video at 4:20 and zoom in on the connector you can see the release tab and that should help you know where to depress to release. Also, it’s always easier to try and seat the connector more fully (as if you were reconnecting it) as you are trying to press down on the release tab. This will help the connector “unlatch” more easily. Also, in my opinion you don’t have to disconnect that connector. You can carefully let it hang while you do the rest of the install and then pop it back in place after you’re done.
If you have a 10 pin connector at the headlamp switch we have seen that pin 10 (gray wire with blue tracer) is the appropriate wire to connect to. If you have a 4 pin headlamp switch you will not be able to tie in there. Also, no matter which type you have you'll need to test and confirm that the circuit has 1 or more volts DC when the headlights are on and no voltage when the headlights are off. If you have any other questions please shoot me an email - support@p3cars.com
Basically the same as mk7 golf but you move the controller down one position to retain side to side control - ruclips.net/video/VWW0L12vybs/видео.html Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any more specific questions. I'll try to get that install guide up as well.
It MAY read oil temp on gas engines. If you’ve already got one try changing your cc setting from cc.A to cc.Y and it may pull it. I know it can pull it on the mk7 gti/R but I’m not sure if this car has the same sensor layout or not.

Can’t wait to install on my Jetta 23
We love to hear it!

Just bought this! I can’t seem to unclip the lighting wire at 4:14 Is there a special way to do it?

Which wire on the headlight switch would it be for the dimmer wire

I love how this looks but me and plastic trim clips don’t get along 😅😅
I hear ya! I was a dealership tech before P3 and typically if it felt like it was going to break you were doing it right! haha
Where does the other end of the boost tubing connect to inside the dashboard?
It ties into our analog boost sensor that plugs into the gauge’s harness directly.
How does this install into the factory vent of an MK7 GLI? I don't see those directions on the website.

Where can I get the carbon fiber pieces if they break?
You should be able to get any OEM parts through your local VW dealership or from any reputable OE part reseller.
Where can I get the analog boost tubing
We have it listed separately on our accessories page at p3gauges.com

Then get rid of this boost tap, as it creates a spacer between ur map sensor and causes false IAT readings. Your welcome.
