- So the essential question people always ask is how much do things cost in India. Or any other country. Well, I started a new series that talks about it. Of course supermarkets are always more expensive than markets but still, it will give you a certain idea about the prices of groceries and it is pretty general for a country. Let's see what the things cost around here in one of the tech areas of Bangalore.

I'm a Malaysian, I've lived in Bangalore for almost 5 years while doing my Medical Degree (MBBS) at MS Ramaiah Med. College (Malaysia-India collaboration program) way back in 2008 to 2012... from my experience... electronics and household items made from plastic - are more expensive than in Malaysia... however... metal cook wares and food items (local food items) are cheaper than Malaysia... I remembered during my undergraduate years there - a bottle of pepsi (200ml) only cost 15 rupees which was around 1 Malaysian Ringgit (1 MYR = 15 INR = 0.33 USD)... and a plate of Chicken Briyani was only around 75 rupees (5 MYR)... in short, there are cheaper things in India compared to Malaysia, vice versa (electronics are cheaper in Malaysia)...
Yes I see it that way too
Apparently chocolate products (chocolate bars, chocolate drinks, etc) are also significantly more expensive in India than in Malaysia. There are stores in Masjid India area of Kuala Lumpur that specialise in those products and their main clients are Indian tourists and Indian migrant workers returning home.
@muhd7144 China tourists who spoke to me also bought a lot of chocolates from malaysia. I asked why. They told me apparently in China 70% is sugar, 30% cocoa. Here they told me 30% sugar 70% cocoa.
@@keangwooichoo6138 In other words, just as in India, chocolate weight for weight is more expensive in China than in Malaysia. Thanks for the info.
I noticed that paper bags are used instead of plastic bags. A big applause to India. Well, thanks a bunch for that supermarket tour, showing us goods from aisle to aisle.
Well, what a day of grocery shopping !! 👍👏🫰
Yes true, I was actually surprised
Almost every supermarket paper bags & cloth bags are used instead of plastic bags. Plastic bags should be limited even in road side vendors , generally they use polythene abundantly.
Instead of white sugar you can add jaggery powder or Palm jaggery syrup to curd to make your healthy dessert. Honey doesn’t mix well and you will need a lot of it.
Yes I was thinking that
I use jaggery powder only.
Much better alternative.
I have worked in Bangalore for almost three years. Great place.
Good to see your family enjoying your stay in Bangalore
Yes it's nice
You can get non-gmo grapes online with less pesticides or get delivered to place in marthahalli where you stay & reliance mart is somewhat cheaper than more & d-mart is more cheaper than both but it’s very insanely crowdy where billing takes half an hour
I see
Hi Moonshine Eid Mubarak to you and Family❤.
At the end of Ramadan today we are celebrating Eid ul Fitar across the world.
Eid ul-Fitr is indeed a joyous occasion, marking the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection. On this day, Muslims feel a profound sense of gratitude, happiness, and unity as they gather with family and friends to celebrate.
There's a palpable feeling of love, compassion, and generosity, as people reach out to one another, exchange gifts, share meals, and offer prayers together.
It's a time of forgiveness, reconciliation, and strengthening bonds with human beings.
Overall, the prevailing sentiment is one of peace, harmony, and deep spiritual fulfillment.❤
Eid Al Fitr, mate
There are different hyper markets in India and in Bangalore catering to different customer needs. You can find imported Swis, French and Australian, Newziland cheese imported. You can find different salad leaves that are common in EU. You can order organic veggies as well far cheaper than EU. You can order and get things in 10mins to 25mins using blinkit and zepto apps. If you need different types of grocery malls for particular needs such aa for malls that shelf imported cookies, cheese and pastas for a change around your area of stay, you may ask me in reply.

I appreciate the message on your T-shirt 👕 " I run solo " . Best wishes .😊

You know what...
If you want juices in India, just buy fruits and take out its juice yourself at home 😅 Or buy it from fruit sellers... who make fresh fruit juices infront of your eyes. No sugar added 💯
Indian summer drinks are much healthier. I personally love homemade Lassi, Buttermilk or Ber fruit juice (made at home).
Indian spicy mixtures or snacks are better because they don't contain sugar in it.
Indian products are not that high on sugar level like America btw...but still it's better to be cautious and eat such things in limit.
For Sugar, palm sugar or jaggery are very famous alternatives in Indian homes.
For oil, mustard oil, ghee are much healthier.
Avoid Maida (Refined flour) on regular basis...
Whole wheat flours are much better...i.e. for Rotis or Chapatis.
thanks for this
You can buy maida alternate flours online which are much healthier & millet biscuits & sugar free biscuits online
sure thing
The way you explaining the things are simple superb brother
Thanks brother
While stores selling alcohol might have higher profit margins on alcoholic beverages, they could also face additional costs and regulations related to alcohol sales, such as licensing fees, compliance requirements, and liability risks.
On the other hand, stores without alcohol may have lower overhead costs and potentially appeal to a wider customer base, including those who prefer not to purchase alcohol.
Thus, the profitability of each type of store depends on balancing these factors and catering to the preferences and needs of the local community.
True that
Is your 'I RUN SOLO' shirt about someone? Who's printed on the shirt?

Nowadays there are apps for groceries where you can shop online and the grocery gets delivered in 10-15 mins and there's an app fr laundry as well. I won't tell the name of the apos else RUclips blocks the comments

Thank you sir, For spreading awareness about cons of unhealthy food.
It's my pleasure
This unhealthy food products are produced by mostly uk or us people.which destroy health. We always live in co ordination with nature. We respected nature.
You people always produce Products of destruction.

Happy navratri fastival 🚩
You too thanks
But nowadays everyone are addicting they know it is bad for health alsooo using it
Oh, you never buy ice cream for kids? I guess 2-3 times a week is fine. Having ice creams is a big part of growing up. I feel no kid should be deprived of that.
Of course we buy ice cream, they have one dessert per day, they can chose what. Whatever gave you that idea? Of course we do not give them any ultra processed foods or soda that are cancerous. Coke and other sodas are the worst for you and for your kids.
@@yvesthesleeve When one of the kids asked for ice cream, the next scene/shot didn't show them eating one, and later in the video when you speak about not buying those U.P. juices and sodas, which are horrible I agree and you and me are right not to buy them, I thought you might also not be buying ice creams (so I thought I should ask). On a side note, since you avoid buying UPFs - which is good of you -- I also see you buying whole-wheat bread. I was reading an article by The Atlantic, and the writer writes that Carlos Monteiro, the Brazilian epidemiologist who coined the term "ultra-processed foods (UPFs)," told him in an email that even branded whole-wheat breads are UPFs. Just thought I should share that with a fellow health conscious guy. You make awesome videos, thanks for that!

Living in India doesn't have a fixed cast as it's a diverse country with over a billion people, each with their own unique story.
However, notable figures in Indian society such as politicians, actors, artists, entrepreneurs, and everyday citizens contribute to the dynamic tapestry of life in India.
You are becoming more Indian ❤
Cheers mate
Does that mean you're choosing to live in India now? Is living there better than living in Malaysia? What's the weather there like? Not as hot and humid as in Malaysia? My late friend who's a Malay Muslim surprisingly named Bali and India as two of her favourite countries even though she suffered from bad food poisoning there. She went in the 80s if I'm not mistaken.
@@aridyaacob9528 and you are talking about approximately 40 years back..might be her immune system is weak..😂
@@gokullohargvl84 no, she was a strong and fit lady who took great care of her health. I'm sure things there are better now.

About the filming ... i guess ...btw only my guess... in past we have incidents of blasts n terror by few neighbor countries sponsoring ... so their way of doing things is sleeper cells take photos n give information about the place n then u know what could happen...
Its for the security of people...
Sorry if i have offended nyone but this is unfortunately true...
It is definitely that, no offence taken
11:14 half kg 🍗 200 !
Is that what you said !
I think that is full kg but I am confused now...
Alright 👍🏻
You are a good man and you have an amazing family❤
Thanks so much
Heating food in microwave is safe.
No, not at all, it not only takes away all nutritioun, it makes the food toxic. Be careful what you support only because you use it, act on it.
What is surprising is that you and your family go on like locals everywhere and enjoy food and compare prices too. You deserve the best food that India can afford to taste buds of tourists like you. Enjoy the salubrious climate of Bengaluru.
Thanks mate
Come Indian islands
Eventually for sure

I agree with you entirely- anyone who tells not to film is a perfect Clown🤡
Always one around 😁
Booze capital of India
Sure thing
India is developed country
Getting there yes
i disagree, it is a develoPING country... not yet considered developed.
When we Indians celebrate 100 years of our independence (2047), then we will celebrate from a developing to a developed country.
For this the growth will have to be more than 10% for 20 consecutive years.
By the way, at present India is having the highest GDP growth.
Bangladesh is a super power😂
not quite developed, just parts of it but there most be a lot of changes first
why oats are bad though? 5:40 :O
They suck the minerals from your body, oats are the biggest scam
also Quaker oats are highly processed, thats why one should go for steel cut oats
But nowadays everyone are addicting they know it is bad for health alsooo using it
