A couple of ways, three fingers, that's what Billy does. Billy has a few videos on his method. The other is doubling each movement with index and the middle finger, JE did that, Stanly Clarke perhaps did it before as far as I know. It appears that's what the player here is doing. We only see it for a few milliseconds, once blurred and that looks like 3 finger and then a little of two finger. Takes some getting use to, practice it for several hours straight till you get it. It's worth it.
Its only with the middle & index finger. The Movement is: Middel/ Index/ Index backwards with the side of your fingernail. I hope this information is what you ask for. Greetings, Rene.
I just bought a sweet Fender40. Best amp ever and I know my amps. Looks great and everyone says my playing got even better. Plus where there is a whoopsie smoothly there is a good guitar
I would have wanted a DI-Out with this third version of the Billy Sheehan EBS Pedal ... maybe on Version 4 I will get it :-) ... 'till then I wait and keep using my TECH21 pedals.
You’re incorrect on the “Tone” control. It’s essentially a HPF (High Pass Filter). It adjusts the cutoff of the overdrive to the low end/clean signal- so the overdrive is only on the HPF side of the signal. If you plug in and turn the “Clean” all the way down you can hear how it cuts the low end off of the drive. This video is misleading on how it works.
@@boimesa8190 I think the only other unit that tries to emulate the Pearce preamp overdrive is the Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive. Neither the Billy Sheehan pedal or the Ashdown one are aimed at being direct Pearce BC1 clones as the Pearce had other things going on too, but they are aimed at producing the same type of overdrive and tone is my understanding.
I had one ebs billy Sheehan amp - never again. It consists of garbage material and the result of the sound won’t get any better than in this videoclip... I’ll stick to the darkglass amps, they are really worth their money, unlike this piece of plastic crap!
Conrad Nickelson except it doesn’t sound like a bass . That much distortion kicks the bottom end , wanders into the guitar harmonic range. I guess a goat vomiting into a microphone is a sound also , but not fur everyone ?
MJ That’s his sound though, it still has bottom end, but has mids to so it can cut through. There’s nothing wrong with being in the guitars range - if done properly they should slot together and fill each other’s gaps in the frequency spectrum and create one big sound.
The whole point of the clean loop is to NOT lose the bottom end. If that's not enough you can stick an eq pedal or something to emphasize the lows even more.
there is not a single review in wich i don't think: DAMN, René is gooood!
The good old p bass on the pedal demos
God I love that bass
What brand of P-bass is that? Sounds sick!
@@daveleblanc3558 AV Basses, from the Czech Republic.
@@emoedison Thanks! Will check them out.
Billy's main pickups on the Attitude are P-pickups. It is based on his "Wife" bass, which is a P-Bass with a DIY added woofer pickup.
@@daveleblanc3558 funny pun! 🤣🤣, seriously though it is a lovely Bass 😁✌
Rene is a beast!
Sounds amazing! Anyone know what distortion pedal Larry Graham uses?
Rat Juggernaut v.1
@@DrivenCrane1 Thank you. Wow! It's a big boy.
That beard would dampen the strings when you look down.
Nice pedal. Plenty of growl.
Some interesting sounds there. Thanks for the review.
How do you play at 1:24? That’s a pretty fast technique, any tips you could give?

Bubba Bumpkim doubling each movement?

@@reneflachsenhaar2968 Nice technique! I gotta go try it now. I was going to say 3 fingers too!

Sick opening riff!
The player in your demo is a MONSTER and as a bonus, he has a slight resemblance to Mose from “The Office.”
How does this compare to the Orange Bass Butler?
Is there like a vst version of this?
So it would accommodate a Rickenbacker nicely ?!? Thank you. Awesome video

mikefredbass that’s the problem when you’re trying to hard to be funny in a desperate attempt to get more subs.
Garden Gnomes on Bass.... Rock
i like his zignature pedal so much
Still doesn’t sound as good as his, now retired, modified Peace BC1’s he used to use. But it’s got a good growl!
Helix.
Wow
Was über diesem Pedale mit eine Gitarre? Werde das funktionieren? Einige Ideen? 😬
Get to the chopper
What overdrive is this bassed on
Pun intended
Seriously tho? 😅
The Pearce BC1 preamp - no longer in production for some time now.
