Deep. This was the soundtrack to real House music back in 89/90. Robert's original vocal on the the studio track "Tears" is the most soulful and heartfelt performances in House Music. Great to see him perform live here and made me realise how blessed we are to have heard him sing.

True story
I was djing the day this tune was released back in 89 London, record shop had a promo for me and I just had to have it for that night.. so at age 17 I stole my dads car to gt to the shop in time (I was only just starting to learn to drive) and not only smashed his car up but drove through a shop window, then a barrier and got nicked... still played that night though!

There is no House song that has made me cry as many times as this track has. The other one is always by Quentin and another 1 is 4 ur love by Quentin. I guess Robert was sent to just make me weep 😭

My dad's favourite tune of all time. He passed when i was 4 in 1990. This song still makes me cry till today currently in Thailand having it large in the balcony. I saw him perform live at scala in kings cross unexpectedly, and yes i was crying on the dance floor. What a legend frankie knuckles is.

A young Ru Paul performing at Larry Tee’s Love Machine, Deee-Lite, Ultra Nate, La Luna, N-Joi, Soul II Soul, Inner City, Longsy D (This is Ska!) LFO, and ok I’ll stop I’m being too nostalgic and long-winded; sorry I just miss that era!!! I’ve never been as happy since those days. -Love 2 all the heads across the globe 🖤
