    One question, I have heard that the maximum period you can stay in the USA for OPT post graduation is a 14 months (for one year opt). so if you find a job late, like at the end of your 5 months, technically you can only work at the company on opt for 9 months. please confirm if this understanding is correct?

Till the time I am on OPT or I'll only have 11 days to find a new job on STEM Extension as well? Or this carries to H!B as well, that if I am on H1B and if I lose the job, I'll only have 11 days to stay unemployed?

Does this mean I have less than 12 months for me to work in the US, or does it mean that my 90 days started since June 10th and I can still work even if the June 9th, 2020 passed by? PLEASE HELP!!!!

    • @entresaposyculebras
      @entresaposyculebras 5 лет назад

      Hi ! june 10th is your starting day...then you could have been working since then. If you are not working, then you are substracting days on your 90-days of unemployment- clock. For instance, if you are not working yet , by today you have 11 days of unemployment and you have 79 left. June 9th 2020 is the last day of permission to work.

    I have one question, when applying for jobs do we still have to select the option of “ sponsorship required to work in the US” when asked to specify the employment eligibility ? Or can we put “authorized to work in the US for any employer “? Since it will be authorized work by the US immigration team?

    • @danielrocha5774
      @danielrocha5774 4 года назад +2

      I heard a lawyer said that it's best to fill the form like any US citizen would do.
      So it's best not to select sponsorship in the form. Because in many cases your application will be rejected, it's a filter that many companies have.

    In present situation getting job within 90 days of receiving OPT appears not easy due to higher inflation, 7 percent interest rates and hearing freeze and lakhs of student coming out after their graduation in May23...on job positions across industries....do not know how long this lasts

    Correct me if I’m wrong, let’s say I have put my start on 40th day after graduating(considering within 60 days for OPT) are these 40 days considered under my 90 days of unemployment? Leaving me only 50 unemployable days?? Can you answer please! Thanks in advance
