Love this string in rackets that have tons of feel but low power, especially at low tensions like 45 or below. Try it, no loss of control, just better comfort and a little more spin
I have this on GP and love it. It’s been on for a while now and like even more now. Tension seems to be holding somehow. Compare this vs Head Lynx touch…
@@MPTennis I think you said something about Speed MP and almost switching to it. If you want a similar racquet with a different feel, try out Yonex Vcore Pro 100. I don't really use it as my main racquet but I always have it in my bag for those off days. When I feel like I can't play tennis, I just pull that out and start playing better. Super underrated racquet... almost a well kept secret.
Hi, I have ordered a set of the Grapplesnake Tour M8 1.25 for my Wilson Blade v9 18x20, I’ve been reading A LOT about the string…. In terms of tension, what would u recommend for this racket? I’ve played with 4G at 46lbs and loved that, I’m hoping I’ll still get the same playability, control and tension maintenance but with a little extra pop than 4G with Tour M8, would u say I’ll get this? And was thinking of going maybe 48lbs? What u think? Thanks again
I tried this string at 24/23 kg, 1.25 in my Head Extreme Tour and it was definitely too stiff and underpowered for my taste. Normally i play Hyper G at 24/23 kg, which feels softer and has more power. I have to try it again at like 22/21kg, probably a different story. Also less spin than Hyper-G. The reason i look for a new string, is that Hyper-G is really nice for like 4-6 hours hard hitting and than quickly drops tension
I tried it a second time at 22/21 kg. Was very nice in the first session, but after that it was just too low tension for my taste. Felt like i cant really go for my shots and lots of balls that normale go in, went long. Had to slow down my swing or try to put some extra spin on it. So my conclusion 24/23 kg was to stiff, 22/21kg too soft. I'm an agressive player and i'm not gonna change my swing for a string, so its a NO for me. Also trying the Tour sniper atm, whiche i personally like more. Is more like what i'm used to and feels better at my regular tension. And also cheaper 😁
I’m currently using Alu power rough 16/1.30silver string 54 mains - 51 cross My only complaint is the price, lol I’ll definitely have to try the grapplesnake M8
It´s interesting as you say the cylcone looses tension very fast, but from all I´ve tested the cylone was one of the best only velocity mlt does way better but that´s a multi. I´m curious when you say you liked that one more than the tour sniper as the tour sniper is like in my top 3 strings to test soon...
Hello. Between the sniper tour and the M8, which do you think gives the most precision like "putting the ball where you want"? Control to change the direction of the ball without it escaping, for example, or when approaching, having this sensation of the ball going where we want it to go?
I’ve used both of these strings and the tour sniper has a bit more precision when you swing out and hit center of the strings, but on off center shots and on defense it’s easy to miss your mark. Tour m8 has very good precision on center shots but is also a lot more forgiving so if you hit off center the ball is still going to go close to the target and the extra power makes it much better for defense. In my opinion the only reason to go tour sniper is if you have a really powerful racquet and you string at low tension but other than that I would go tour m8 every time
Grapplesnake makes quality strings, pricey though. Best value I have come across for a high level players string is Tier 1 (now Tru Pro) Black knight. On sale often for $99 a reel and plays great after a break-in period.
@@conorbergan4843 Black Knight/Ghost Wire is a great hybrid. One for my regular setups. A few things though. Can be a little boardy in the beginning. It takes a little time to break in and then it feels great and plays consistent for awhile. You also need racquet head speed to make it work, so I (and the company) only recommend it for advanced players. Worth a try.
In your opinion, what’s the best string for heavy spin? I use Lynx tour but feel there’s better options out there. I’m 4.0 level and hit heavy spin forehand/backhand
Honestly i got very high spin with grapplesnake m8 in the 1.25mm guage, strung it at 53/50 but, the control at lower tensions allows you to string lower and get more string movement. Rpm blast is the best in the business, but only for 2 hours
Good video, ive been using grapplesnake for around 3 yrs, i do get you regarding tour m8 - very consistant, and other line up as sniper tour and cube(which is the wrose to actually string) - rips your fingers part, however do try and check these strings out as getting more attention - plenty reviews on youtube = Restring zero, Mayami Tour hex and even their big spin string, toroline wasabi, The snapback for Restring zero and toroline wasabi both are next level, both the mayami strings are very similar to solinco hyper g but have far better tension maintenance
@@MPTennis i love confidential but when its really hot outside, it becomes very springly and harder to control with no ball pocketing,, Not sure why.. but dos this M8 have same issues in hot weather ??
@@TheDrakulie The day I tested it it was not super hot so hard to tell. You can increase your tension like 2lbs on hotter days too. You might notice that. What level do you play?

So what made you choose the Toroline Super Toro over this string?
