- We finished connecting our 2nd battery. Now let's setup the battery isolator so the car can run electronics from the 2nd battery when the car is shut off and the capacitor will act as a energy reservoir.
Stay tuned for part 3 when we install new LED lights for an interior effect and ground effect lights.

Thanks for the video on the isolator (and yes, it was a long long long long (did I say long) explanation)/battery install. It helps when given details so no worries, just had to just your behind on it. Good work!!!
I tried to explain it as quickly as I could that would make sense without stuttering or starting over. It's a pretty complicated piece of equipment that does a lot so I had to study it before explaining it.
Learning how to route electrical currents can get very complicated and if you mess up you're in for a big literal shock
@@SladeWashingtonSVR yeah, not feeling getting shocked so will use this video in the future if I decide to upgrade to underglow lights/amplifiers.
Came here looking for wiring help with a capacitor, isolator, and all the compononets.wasnt good when you had the isolator off screen and pointing at some post. I know theres 2 positves one ground, and 1 optional switched power incase you want to bypass or over ride the isolator. Least thats the way mine diagrammed it. The capacitor takes a few minutes to start charging thru the resisitor. I had the same issue and had them send me out another one same thing. Im having problems with my dsp, and 3 amplifiers not shutting off. I had to disconnect the battery or the second battery. Not sure whats causing it my guess is the isolator is fried. I have the worst luck with this im about to just pay to have it trouble shot and fixed.
Takes 4 mins to charge
Bro as soon as you get to the part I wanna hear the music overpowers you
i had to replace some music to due copywrite claims :(
4 mins of my life I will never get back. SMH
the isolator is a great idea but its really not needed. the isolator was mainly used in car audio when your main battery is lead acid and the battery in the back is agm. the agm has a higher resting voltage 13.2v-13.8v and the lead acid would drain the agm down to be at the same resting voltage. i know you said its for your bags and lights but those shouldnt drain that much juice. lights are around 5 amps at most and bags are 80 amps, those 2 alone shouldnt drain out that much power. you also said its for your system but you should never bump your system with your car off or on accessories, it should always be running cuz so the alternator can recharge the battery. even with a 1000 watt system wired at 1 ohm it will drain your battery out in minutes if the cars not running and if your amplifier or amplifiers dont get at least 12v they will send a clip signal to your subs and blow them. the capacitor you have works the best when its wired closer to the amplifier, around 4-6 inches from the amplifiers terminal anything farther than that it becomes an expensive voltmeter
Thanks for this input. Very informative
