    This is amazing. I havent seen any youtuber that gave a strict risk handling strategy that anyone can follow. Thanks for sharing this tip. I used to increase my position size exponentially as my profit added up, which made me end up with huge losses like 30k loss within an hour.

    I am very NEW. I’m learning right now and totally understand your explanation on risk and position size. Very simplistic. I WILL use this when I start making trades 🙌🏼
    Thank you.

    Good shit king, you popped up on my recommended. Great explanation on risk management and position sizing. Many so called experts can’t make it this simple for new traders. I also trade but swing trade instead. Ended the week green with 120%. KAVL, IINN, BFRI, CALA, PRVB, BON

    Your risk chart is super useful for quickly sizing trades while keeping risk as a constant. Thanks for the pointers and for being an inspiration.

    Hi James,
    Fantastic content, I am watching all of your videos. Regarding this video, I have a question.
    I am predominately trading Forex and not stocks so how can I apply a similar charting set up for FX?
    Keep up the great work, I am really enjoying watching the journey you are on.

    obviously a stop size is always arbitrary but what gives you a stop target on a share that is $3.33 vs a stock that is $7. i feel the spreadsheet needs to have a formula where you put in stock price that also populates the stop price based on the risk?

  • @mobiletips9417

    You almost gave it all for free, thank you for your efforts. You deserve more subscribers.
    My question is how much the minimum percentage of your target?
    For instance if I put 100 dollars, isn't it bad to expect 20 percent tp? Should i reduce or increase it?
    I'm Cryptocurruncy trader by the way, o always win at 3 to 4 time but at the end i always lost my money because of this lack of management. I became greedy sometimes.
    Thank you.

    • @jamesrichyoung
      @jamesrichyoung  Год назад

      Thank you! I don’t do it by percentage I do it by stop size. So I aim for a minimum of a 2:1 reward to risk ratio.

    Thank you so much. After you open the position, do you immediately make another order to set the stop? Or, do you just watch over it manually? It seems like it would take too much time to set up stop orders for every position.

  • @UNOyay

    Why did you choose 126 as your stop? Doesn’t seem to be a support there, or is there? Could you explain that more clearly as amount of shares to buy seems to be dependent on where your stop is placed.

    Hi very helpful video , thanks...a question , what is your personal batting average? How much time did take to make you a profitable trader?.

  • @evanstaylor6860
    @evanstaylor6860 Год назад

    With a limited amount of cash in my cash account I like to use 1k per trade, so that I can take multiple trades per day using the same amount of buying power? Would you say it would be more beneficial to scrap the use of the same amount of buying power and use share sizing. My strategy allows me to be profitable with a high win rate as long I stay selective and don't over trade. The problem with share sizing, is the buying power use per trade changes each time so I would be limited on the amount of trades I can consistently take per week. Would like some suggestions... anyway to incorporate both?

    If my max loss is 1% per trade, but sometimes i will get out before 1% loss, that means that i'm risking the same amount of money per trade right since my max loss is 1%?

    • @jamesrichyoung
      @jamesrichyoung  2 года назад +1

      1% of your account? Then no it wouldn't be unless you have the same amount in the account before every trade. Risking the same amount would be a set dollar amount per trade.

    Great content appreciate it. My only question to this is, how do you deal with slippage? you would have to be almost spot on with your entries. Otherwise your stop can be hit fairly quickly. Again thanks for your videos.
