My grandparent's and everyone they knew in town had Electrolux products. There was a salesman that was known as the Electrolux Man with his own store. Of course he's passed on now. Sad you don't see stuff like that anymore.

My grandma still has her mom’s gold 70’s Electrolux. Best vacuums, she upgraded the hose and added a newer L shaped nozzle from later Electrolux and it works just as good as a new vacuum. We have a 90’s aerus renaissance in our home too.

I feel like last video of this was yesterday. Time really went by fast! Do you believe that the year 2025 will come quick?

I have always been surprised at how quiet Luxes are. The thing with (older) sweepers, is, like the old cars, you could always tell the make of cleaner by the sound od the motor, like the sound of car starters years ago

Your Model 1401-B vacuum cleaner is a stunning performer at 44 years - and the bronze color looks so sharp! The "large combination tool" as Electrolux used to refer to it in literature was introduced 70 years ago, with the Model E tank vacuum (along with the small combination tool and narrow space cleaner) and the PN-4 (with the polished aluminum hood) is 37 years old. What oil did you use to lubricate the brush roll bearings? I've never heard of anyone else doing that, but you managed to get rid of the customary squeaking. Purrrrr-fect demo!

For the brushroll sleeve bearings, I use blue can 3 in 1 oil. Not the red can.

Hi, love the channel. I have a 2016 Kirby and was using the shampoo attachment to clean my tile floors, like I have done many times. Tonight I noticed the brush roll would hardly go, just barely spinning. I stopped machine and took apart, belt was fine and everything looked/ was set up normally I thought. But after restarting machine and using for a few minutes roller bar went back to barely moving. What do you hypothesize would be the problem? Thanks!

Difficult to tell without seeing the issue in person. Spindle slipping, belt issues, brushroll bearing issues, can't say really.

What NO GENUINE HOSE? Your video's are getting REALLY BORING!

Genuine hoses have mostly failed by now as the rubber inside have rotted. The replacement hose works much better.
