Hi brendan. I recently passed all the assessments for the detective role but my vetting application has been refused based on not declaring a half brother. The vetting officer asked me in regards to' do I have any other siblings that are not declared on the form'. I stated 'no I do not have any other siblings that are not declared'. However, after consulting my parents regarding this question, they disclosed to me that I have half brother who I knew as my uncle so I decided to disclose his information to the vetting officer after by emailing 'yes I do have a half sibling and disclosing the information about him in light of the new knowledge. I wanted to find out can I appeal this because it wasn't my thought I had no knowledge of this. Thanks

i would like some advice on the OAC assessments im taking. What are they looking for when you are presenting the questions they ask. Is there a sort of form or code that you follow that they look for a tick off? If so could you give me some information.

I successfully passed my online assessment, interview and have passed my fitness test and completed biometric vetting for the BTP.
What is the typical time to be given a start date?
