I missed the pageant because because of my heavy schedule as a working Sophomore student at the College of Arts & Sciences. This was the first hosting by the Philippines: it was held at the Folk Arts Theater where the front act was the Bayanihan. As a Balikbayan, I am overwhelmed at the hospitality extended by Governor and First Lady Imelda Marcos: consider the Barong Tagalog and the Philippine Terno worn by the emcees and judges. The gift of shell Maria Clara to the beauteous Senorita Amparo Munoz was very thoughtful as a reminder that she was once at the Pearl of the Orient. It is significant to note the crowning of the Spaniard, brought us back to 1521 when Spain rediscovered the Philippines. (Phelan, author of Philippine history, stated that the Philippines was discovered by Malays who crossed the land bridges.) 1973 Ms. Universe Margarita Roxas Moran, was regal in her white Philippine butterfly terno.
Amparo Munoz was the most naturally beautiful and deserving when she was crowned Miss Universe 1974. A beauty with principles, she was one to stand and fight for personal convictions with typical Spanish fiery passion. Amparo did not finish her reign. She gave up the crown 6 months later when she resisted Miss Universe Organization manipulations and refused a trip to Japan, yet she was never dethroned - the first and only Spaniard to win that crown so far. May she rest in peace by God's grace.
Miss Wales' eyes were rolling before the announcement of the winner. She did not want to win because apparently she already had a baby. She was relieved when Miss Spain was announced the winner but she later joined Miss World and won but was stripped off the title when it was finally confirmed that she already gave birth to a baby boy.
Oh no! Did she have a baby before Miss Universe 1974 or was she pregnant during the competition? When did she win Miss World? What happened to the ranking after getting disqualified?

So sad she passed away. I met a japanese man in Lima in 1988 and he made electric magnetizers by himself and people healed and recovered from illness since 1970. But it was no propaganda anywhere, just people came from many countries .I'm 52 now and I still have that magnetizer and use it when I sleep feeling that energy next to me.
