‘Security failure’: Donald Trump injured in attempted assassination at rally

- Liberal Senator Dave Sharma says it seems there was a “security failure” following a shooting at former US president Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally.
A bullet had pierced the upper part of Mr Trump’s right ear.
The former president was evacuated from the site by Secret Service following the gunshots.

Not pronouncing the terminal R is consistent with British English pronunciation in general, not only as done here in Australia.
The terminal R is effectively regarded as a pronunciation guide, like the E at the end of "fate" which indicates that the A is long, not short as in "fat".
The "ah" that you mentioned at the end of "shooter" is a mispronunciation done by some people in Melbourne and nearby areas.
In some cases it's really bad. Some Melbourne euro bogans mutilate the simple single syllable word "here" so badly that it becomes the grotesque two syllable "hiiiy-Yaaaughh".
Fortunately not all Australians are ockers or bogans.
