    I agree about the conditioner at the roots. It’s kind of like using moisturizer when you have oily skin. You still need it to control skin oils, and since your scalp is skin, it makes sense that it also needs moisture. Just make sure to rinse well.

    I concur with your thoughts about the Verb shampoo. Tried it for the first time yesterday and it was super sudsy but felt very nourishing. I have a bordeline dry scalp so still feel very clean dsy 2. I adore the Curl Foaming Gel. Been using it under a cream for several months and its my favorite styler. I get basically the same results from this plus a cream as I did with cream plus mousse plus gel. It lasts without need of a refresh for 3 days even after wearing it up all day in the past. I do get a bit more frizzy with scrunchinv out the crunch and I use Verb's Ghost Oil. Been using it for more than 5 years and have repurchased so many times. Love if. Also love the citrusy smell of all of Verb's products!

    I use the foam every time I wash and style for the past year. I use a leave in and then comb this in and brush style. Then I will Hoover diffuse and then put a tiny bit more on top after it’s all done. This leave my hair perfect for me. Enjoy hold. Sometimes with strong hold gels after I scrunch it out will leave my hair still way to stiff. It’s also super easy to use as I refresh my hair during the week.

    What does it mean if my hair seems straw-like/not good to the touch, on day 1 after wash night? After having refreshed with products, then in ponytail, then water refreshes? Too much product? Needs more protein or more moisture?

    • @columbia2635
      @columbia2635 Год назад +1

      Well, I've not the experience Courtney has but straw like generally means too much protein. Personally, I have protein sensitivity so avoid strong protein measures, instead doing a combo protein/moisture mask (like NYC) every 2-3 weeks. I also think that water sometimes acts a bit drying for me, so 2nd day refresh isn't always as optimal as I wish. Would love to hear what Courtney has to add.
