And we have clearance to the Papa beacon, clearance Papa starting at Fl8000 looking for 9, do I hear a 9, 9! Pending clearance, Pending, can we make 10000? TEN thousand feet A, G, Lllllllllllll 10! 10000 at the Papa beacon is getting passed, passed and the QANTAS A320 is CLEARED to Papa at 10, ten thousand!
I learned to fly at this airport. This controller is one of the best controllers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is hilarious and always on top of his game. You can tell he loves his job very much. One of the funniest things he ever did was record the ATIS at snails pace speed because someone called to complain that he talked to fast. Sat there for five minutes trying to pick up the weather before a flight 😂😂😂
His enunciation is arguably more understandable and clear than most. His changes in pitch seem to enhance hearing the terms more effectively. And he’s no “faster” than most ATC folks - they all sound like the guy doing the FedEx commercials from the ‘70’s and ‘80’s!
@@tomgio1 A famous (infamous) ATC video where the controller kept saying "Cleared to land" so fast that it all smeared together into one incomprehensible word "clettilan", then got all testy with the pilot when the pilot had to ask him multiple times whether he was cleared to land. I primarily fly out of JQF and he is definitely the best controller there. My favorite is when he says "follow Cessnerrrr traffic on a 1 mile final, runway 2, number 2, CLEEEAARRRREDD TOOOO LAAAANNDDD!"
Adam is his name. Retired from CLT and is a contract controller at JQF. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Love his annunciation, particularly when Allegiant if flying. He pronounces it Allee-Giant. He is a joy to communicate with.
I was told he was a preacher, but have no idea. Loved it when he was working at CLT. When a foreign carrier came in there he dropped that style and went conventional, same if there was an idiot on the frequency.
My wife and I were both USAF controllers. One of things I'd do at Altus AFB, OK was mess with the aircrews as I'm coming off a mid shift...just to get their day rolling. Had a thing called Helium ATIS. Helium was cheap in the party balloon pack so you'd huff some and go for it. Remember, this is a training base and at the time was C5s and C141s. They'd get the ATIS and then come up on ground for a clearance (since CD and ground were combined) and I'd take another hit of He2 and read the clearance. Some folks would just lose it and ask for a repeat. Got surprised once with their read back coming out of their own helium supply...said they'd had the canister for a couple of weeks hoping to catch me some morning. The other thing was first call for comm check which I'd reply to through the vacuum cleaner hose used to sweep the cab floor. They'd say I was muffled and change to the other radio and magically, loud and clear. Call out the avionics guy but it was all 5- by for them on both sets but then reply one more time to the aircrew (UPT folks) with the hose. Then I'd stop.....
When I flew out of KCLT in the early 2000s he was with TRACON. Nothing like getting vectoring instructions from him and then listen to the other pilots try to imitate him. Is he still at Concord?

He gets commission every time a plane lands successfully.
stu27777: That's funny! Wright Flyer, USAF (1968-1972).
This is how airport fees work, yes. :P
😂😂😂
He's the Clearance/Delivery controller haha :D

Great story
Sheesh. If you can learn comms here, you're gonna be pretty much set globally.
Whäat
What airport is this? I'd love to try to pick it up on LiveATC.
@@wrifraff KJQF Concord-Padgett Regional Airport!

He's easier to understand than the "clettilan" dude.
Sure beats the hell out of that computer-generated ATIS so many airports have nowadays e.g.= ox-rot for "Foxtrot".
@@markwheeler202 Me: You mean the "cleared to land" dude?
Mark Wheeler: Yeah, that's what I said.
@@markwheeler202 , forgive me friend, I don’t get the reference. What is the “clettilan” dude? Thanks.

I would not be able to copy my clearance because I would be rolling in the aisle! LOL
Need to check your ailerons
Would ya OP? Would ya be rolling in the aisle?? Doesn't take much to get you laughing huh??
Weirdo...
SAME
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Guy sounds like he's having a whole lot of fun at work
Indeed.
FAA should sample his voice for the computer generated Automated Weather Advisory systems at all airports!
I'd actually listen to it instead of pulling it up on ACARS 🤣
RUclips algorithm: I'm not even trying anymore. At this point he'll watch anything I throw at him.
RUclips staff: “yea dude we know. Go for it”
Yup. It’s come to this....
no no.... im here legit
.
i play DCS flight sim and im a huge nerd
like i understood what dude was saying.....

SOLD! to the gentlemen on United!
F*** United
That's one beating on United. Do I hear two?
Two here
He use to call air races before working at KJQF.
Really? Are you joking?
I thought this guy sounded familiar
@@cdavlogs5597 nope. Not joking. Also worked at KCLT before Retirement.

On today’s edition of “Random RUclips Recommendations”

As a pilot whose dad is an auctioneer, this is incredible
Ironically, that's the only time I can hear what ATC is saying.

Lmao I remember calling the ATIS and hearing this guy. What a gem.
This is how it sounded when I was beginning my pilot training! Love it
AD!! He's a great controller! Love talking to him. He's a nice guy too.
We need 74 Gear to watch this!!!!!
Let's get @airforceproud95 to give a readback.
Concord Airport is local to me and this controller is one of the best that there is. You can tell he loves his job and he's very good at it.
The best part is everything he says is crystal clear
That man loves his job , what a joy to hear 👏👏👏👏 , most controllers are great to work with , outstanding people
SOLD!!!
Remember this guy.
Amazing.
It's like he's auctioning off your flight plan to another flight lol
Sounds like our old buddy in the tower at Fort Worth Spinks, KFWS.
The feeling of did I pick up my clearance or did I just buy a horse.
Imagine flying and hearing this. I would turn autopilot on before i laugh so hard, the plane goes down from the hilarity
I fly out of JQF all the time! Always look forward to fly when it’s his shift

I love when a controller has a sense of humor. I've seen a couple d-atis print outs with some funny stuff
I can't stop listening!!!
Maintain Mach point 85, do I have .86, sold to the BAW Concorde 1.05!
This makes perfect sense. That’s how I feel when I’m buying a ticket.
If atc talked like this, I’d understand it a lot better.
This is what I feel like I hear every time I go on LiveATC..
Nice MD-80
MD83 from Allegiant

yes, still there
Priceless!
I'm positive that when your read back is incorrect he will deliver your clerance properly...
He's actually pretty clear
Imagine an airport controlled by Kennedy Steve and Concord-Padgett's auctioneer ATC.
Forgot allegiant had Md80s and it wasn't even that long ago, damn!
This is how you have some fun at work
I would have called back and asked for a repeat.
You wouldn't have done it twice though. 🤣
omg best vid i seen all day!! thank you for sharing!!
That, is simply fantastic.
For more fun, turn on subtitles and see how that reads.
Love it. I do feel for the foreign guys....😂😂

Just thank God he wasn’t “rapping” the clearance and ATIS.

Thank god hes just the ADIS, I'd be playing that 2 or 3 times before I got it right

First clearance goes to the highest bidder!!
Oh look, GroundPound69 as ATC.
FAA and TSA final report on the crash. "The Pilots had no clue what runway to take off from.....and did the taxi-way".
