I like to believe over the years the cabin was slowly rebuilding itself in preparation for another confrontation with ash, and when ash came back from 1300 the missing stuff was spat back out which explains it's more pristine condition
Reason being why the deer head in the AVED cabin is a Red Deer Stag is because they are the main native bread of Deer to New Zealand. We only have 7 breeds of Deer here but they are the most common in the area of where they were shooting the show. I'm definitely happy with how they recreated the cabin, fun fact that you probably already know but, they remade it twice for filming the show one cabin on a sound stage and one in Woodhill forest north of Auckland. I believe the one in the forest was the one we saw in season 2 and as we know the cabin was destroyed in season 1 and then again in season 2 when Ash goes back and changes the events of what happened. Seeing it pristine, so to speak, compared to the abandoned look of Season 1. Continuity hasn't exactly been a strong point in the ED universe with props and things so we can probably just chalk it up to another one of those inconsistencies that doesn't necessarily bother most viewers but can make the fans with a keen eye for detail have a little chuckle, in my opinion at least. Also if you couldn't tell Brett, it's the kiwi member of the group here, Brian lol
In my opinion, my explanation of differences is that the spirits fixed or moved things around. I believe evil dead 2013 cabin is the same, but after Mia leaves at the end, the spirits work their magic to fix and move things around. But hey, that’s just a theory, a film theory!
I think the cabin is self repairing thanks to the evil. ED2 takes place after 1 and Bruce himself says when he is hit by the force and starts spinning that’s the continuation after the ending of the original. But as Ash goes back into the cabin the fruit cellar door is now fixed for ash to be knocked down into by Jake. Boom self repairing.
