This one arrived for me over the weekend. And now, after watching your insightful video on it (but skipping the spoiler bit!), I’m super stoked for my virgin watch! Thank you again for all you do. 🙏🏻
Cant wait for Shawscope 3 with the One Armed Swordsman movies & more Jimmy Wang Yu with A Man Called Tiger. Excellent review, good film even if its not all out action the plot & characters are interesting enough to carry the film until the action kicks in.
Same here with A Man Called Tiger. Don't know too much about that film, very excited to check it out. Shawscope 3 is an incredible line up of films, but I don't even have 2 yet! I need to rob a bank or something...
I recommend „The Man from Hong Kong“ … almost the same cast but it’s better than the Queens Ransom. More action, more fights and even more bananas. However, great review as always. Looking forward to your podcast about „From beyond“. Watched that movie today only in preparation for that. Greetings from Germany
@@hkcinemasocietyit has a 4K and Blu Ray in the package. There is also a only Blu Ray edition for 20€ … but I highly recommend the 4K it’s really worth it and one day you will probably have a 4K player an really appreciate the better quality
The amazing Ozploiyation doc NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD has an incredible section on THE MAN FROM HONG KONG, with the cast and crew not shy about what a POS Jimmy Wang Yu was.
This release doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention, I would guess in part because so many much more famous films are coming out this year (Fist of Legend, Black Mask, Project A 4k, and on and on and on), but I really enjoyed it. It's a very fun '70s B movie, a solid adventure flick.

You had me with that nawty video title. 😂
It's a surprisingly accurate description 🤣

I've had that movie on my list for years. I almost bought the Blu-ray at one point, maybe it's finally time.
I can recommend the German UHD. It has also English subtitles
@@konkeydong8449 Is it dual format? I don't have a 4k set up alas.

Thanks for this one. I've totally missed it somehow.
