I'm in NY, and wanted a Blue water yacht to go out on the river with friends and just relax....So I see one for sale near me she was asking 90K. I started thinking about it and due to my busy work schedule ( physician) I lost track ... so I get some time and think about offering something...I check..... and it was sold...for $39K
Yes I agree with you, 4 months ago I sold my 08 176 kw and I will look October through December to get another boat, possibly one 5 to 7 years old. Also really enjoyed the video.
I'm watching prices on new Barletta 25 Lusso, Cobalt R6, and Regal LS6. With incentives, the Cobalt and Regal can be had for 40% off. Barletta deals aren't that aggressive. I think close to 50% off is coming this winter on the Cobalt and or Regal. Also, both Cobalt and Regal can hardly give away new 23 and 24 Surf models. Makes sense when the bottom dropped out of real surf boats such as Axis and Malibu. And the 1700 Mercury engine layoffs announced last week tells you how bad the boat manufacturers and dealers have it right now and it's only going to get worse. Im really looking forward to see what deals can be had December and the Atlanta boat show in January. Im a cash buyer, btw.
Also, I'm in the market for one or two new PWCs. If you are as well, do not pay freight and setup. Fewer dealers charge this each week. Here are some dealers who don't: Marshalls in SC, Lake Hill in MS, and Jonesboro Cycle in AR. Jonesboro Cycle had $3-4K off new Kawasakis not long ago.
What do you think of the Yamaha center console boats ? Not sure now I feel about taking a jet boat out on Lake Michigan. I used to live in Tega Cay - nice place !
We have a new 2023 crownline 260 SS w trailer list 180k, now 75k off to 105k. Seems like a fair deal . Midwest marine in KC. I bought a 2018 Tahoe 700 limited this spring. 75 hours, extended platform , thru hull exhaust, 6.2 merc, wake tower, big stereo. Guy asked 42k, I gave 35k. It’s in nice shape. Runs great. You thjnk I did ok on that capt Matt? The new 210 si limited equipped the same is $70k after rebates
Finally sold or should say gave away our2023 Qwest 820 lanai and we just bought a 2024 Sunchaser Geneva 23 last month now this past weekend dealer blew out prices like 10,000 off tritoons dang it. My luck.
I told a guy to sell his NVidia stock a month ago and buy a boat, hopefully he at least sold it, it's crashing hard. Prices are too high for new, mercury is doing layoffs
What are your thoughts on waiting until January? I’m going to the Toronto Boat Show then and hoping to narrow my search for an affordable Tritoon for wake boarding and tubing. I’m seeing Manitou ads with up to $27K off.
Thanks for the great advice. I want to purchase a boat soon and look forward to eventually getting out on the water. I will probably be buying something this fall if I can find the right one for my family and I. However, I have never owned a boat before and I’m a little apprehensive. One thing I always dislike is being a new guy and not knowing anything. Do you recommend I learn to be a somewhat seasoned boater before making a purchase? Should I do rentals first to get my feet wet? Thanks for the great videos.
@jefferyroberts9928 - a couple things you can do... 1. Grab my free Boater Bootcamp for newer boat owners www.BoaterBootcamp.com 2. If you want more knowledge and skills before, grab the Best Boat Captain program... will put you light years ahead of new boaters that haven't gone thru 3. If you aren't sure what kind of boat, then renting can be valuable but it sounds like you're pretty dialed on on they boating style. Hope that helps!
Doesn't look like a ton on the market but I'd look at the dealers overall inventory... be aggressive on an offer and start the conversation... the deeper into the season (post Labor Day) likely the more willing they will be to deal
wait they are going to keep coming down... Or just be ready to jump on a great deal because they are out there. I found my buddy a 230 seahorse Hydrasport with a four stroke 476 hrs for 13k with a new trailer. just have your cash ready to drop everything to go get it
Off season typically means lower prices just because to demo before buying so either buy before it freezes or wait til ice out(depending on where you live)
@@flnative7553 The deals are already out there if you negotiate properly but the boats may still be marked up to get some profit if they are able. After Labor Day, the discounted list prices should come down even more but may not be as much available to negotiate down more (does that make sense?)
I bought a new rig last week (well new to me 21 model). Go look around and you will see that there are reductions. There are some 2023s still on lots with great discounts and the 2024s are getting ready to drop. 10-12% interest rates are killing sales. I think there will be a little flurry of sales if/when rates drop in the fall.
Near all equity is in real estate and that market crashed two Years ago so like a boat taking on water *"start throwing off all the excess in life"* so goodbye to boat, goodbye to the plane, goodbye to the crazy high priced truck and SUV old as time *"got crazy in the mania everyone bought stuff"* now here is the dowturn literally all in just 4 Years this has happened now all bought during the mania all sell in the crash. *"Okay stop building hulls!"* Well...here come a flood of Boats from Taiwan as usual plus now Europe and new to this game but building with steel not resin Turkey yes that is a huge Country so no, cutting back on hull output is not the answer but yes *"collectively bargaining"* if you are in Florida with you suppliers and as group #Agway that is how this works to stay afloat. *"Anything excess in the business throw it all overboard"* sell sell sell. Make no mistake the metal sharks are already here as yes the do know where Turkey is very much so so too the Netherlands, Poland, Germany you name it all that product is en route to here the USA great time to be a buyer actually although if pricing really heads lower they will wait for the open outcry. My boat only cost 1000 dollars and its from 1961. Cheap-o marketplace boating is always strong.

Prices maybe coming down, but what they have marked them up is far higher. So 90k down still gives them a 180k profit.
Love to see an up date on this video 4-8 weeks later
Coming soon

Good mid tier boat but The lack of trim if the chop picks up could be something to think about
