I don't know if you've figured it out yet or not, but there is a 50/50, and there is a pity system too. The global version is out now, so you've probably been playing and figured this out, but just in case, I thought I'd let you know! Pity starts at 60, stated directly in-game, and I've heard people say that hard pity is 77, which would be supported by the math. If you lose to an off-banner character, then the next six star will be the one on-banner. Characters will have their initial rate-up, and then be put into the standard pool three event versions after their rate-up has ended. Cen Ying, who this person lost their 50/50 to, was the first ever rate-up character, and it's now been long enough on the CN server for her to enter the standard pool, which is how they lost to her. Traces are a little different, but basically there are three banners for those: limited rate-up, standard, and the one that only gives SRs. Stanard and Rate-up can be bought like normal summons, while the SR only banner either has to be given by the game, or bought using the Friendship Medals! The game will also give you pulls that can only be used within 45 days after you get them, just so you're aware of this and don't let them expire, if you decide to play. Really sorry if you've already started playing and figured this out or if you stopped caring, I just thought I'd let you know just in case!
