Thank You for this video. It made adding my Sena 10S to my two new Nolan N44 N-Coms much easier. With a Dremel modification, the 10S allows you to install the microphone like Nolan's N-Com system but on the left side. You do not need to place the mike under the chin guard. Drilling a hole in the plastic bottom hides the wires of the 10S. But what I like the most is now I hear deep base using with my Sena 10S, unlike the HJC 3/4 helmets I had before. Install time took 30-45 minutes per helmet.
I have loved Nolan helmets for years, but have never gone with a communication device because of the N-com. Thank you for this! (On a related note, every time I almost gave in and bought the N-com, it's been out of stock. Senas are easily available and more affordable!
Jim Colbert in hind sight I probably would have been ok using the glue bracket and not had cut the plastic having said that the sena Nolan combo is still going strong all these years
the mic doesn't interfere really while the helmet is on, but after a couple of thousand miles even the five days of riding in the rain, I have come to the conclusion that it works flawlessly with the full face shield down. Without the face shield down, or completely off the noise cancellation interrupts the conversion. hope that answers you question
Nice video. I just ordered a 20S Evo for my Nolan N103, since no one I know uses Nolan helmets and Ncom besides me. That rubber trim piece was my only concern, but now I know it can be done! Thanks man!
Carmas54. Thank you for doing this video. I have the Nolan 44 and just purchased the 20S. I used your video to install my 20S. Made some minor adjustments to the final installation but overall you video was instrumental in getting the task done. Great job! Cheers!
+Allan Brown, what minor adjustments did you make to your install that differs from Carmas54's video? I will be doing an install in a couple days. Thanks.
I just installed my 20S on a Nolan N44 EVO helmet but instead of cutting the inner foam i used the external adhesive clamp for the 20S. the installation was very clean, easy and it works perfectly without damaging the helmet. Try with the named "Universal installation Clamp" included in the SENA 20s kit.
I had one and just the problems with it. The quick click connector is simply faulty. The electronics and software was bugy, FM radio very unstable. After replacing to the original b5L no issues anymore (and that's chipper!).
+jstrzala Yeah. That's good. I only have one complaint it, and it was only with the Bracket the module clips into, (the quick release button to the bracket) the locking portion was metal on plastic and I'll seen a small indentation on the plastic where it locks, so I have been just keeping it on the helmet when I need to charge it (not a big problem), I rather do that then mess with it and lose the connection reliability which can happen if it's not seated correctly.
So, 7 months later and my 20s is here. In your video you show the n44 without the face shield. I wear mine without the peak and with the shield. Can you orient the boom mic up under the removable chin guard? Thanks again for the great vid.
the tech support is the biggest, and the interface with my iPhone, my GPS and all the rest of the other features it has vs the N-Com I like their helmets, but they are a helmet company first and not a electronic tech company
I know this video is from a few years ago, but before I break out my dremel tool to install my new Sena 50S, is there somewhere to purchase a replacement collar if I screw it up?

Do you have to buy the adhesive clamp separately or does it come with the Sena? Also, do you recommend a PACKTALK instead of Sena's?
too Late LOL, but thanks
You sir, have hooked it up with exactly what I needed to see! THANKS!
+andy8161991 so far it's been a great combo...happy dremelling

Yep, I tuck it under the chin guard when I use the chin guard and in any other configuration, it works great.
@Carmas54 just curious on what you did not like about the N-Com B5 that worths drilling the helmet ?
