Thank you!! 🙏 Out of all the videos I have watched your was so simple and clear to follow and understand.
Thank you. Very clear explanation.
Good afternoon. I have CPT 2022 coding book. I did receive my certificate through NHA National Healthcareer Association, and received a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist. I did purchase my books from the AAPC site and became a member.
Yes, AAPC and AHIMA are the two most commonly recognized organizations for coding certification. Always review the job postings for your desired positions and see what they will accept in terms of certifications, if certification is a requirement for the position.
@@medicalcodingwithdr.jennif9494 exactly. I’ve been going the medical firm route. I still apply to clinics and hospitals but the medical group firms and insurance companies recognize my certification from NHA more.
THANK YOU, THAT WAS VERY INTERESTING ON USING THE CODING BOOK; MAY WE CONTINUE, THE NEXT TOPIC, MARY ZIMMERMAN
Thank you for this video, it is definitely very helpful as a supplement source to my current CPT coding class, I just started. I am hoping you will continue with more about CPT. Eval & Mgmt is the section I am in now an its very complicated. You have a way of teaching/explaining that really helps me tremendously!
Thanks for the feedback, I am glad my videos are helpful. I definitely need to find some time to create some more CPT content.
It is really helpful, thank you for this!!
I’m going to be watching a lot of your videos followed up by a lot of questions. I’m new to the book.
Actually I’m new to this CPT 2022 Professional Edition HCPCS Level 2 2022 and ICD-10-CM for Physicians 2022. I hope your videos can help me out or you asking my questions I have.
Found it useful, thank you!
Thank you so much! Very helpful!!😊
You're so welcome!

GREAT JOB. I HAVE A QUESTION, HOW WILL I KNOW WHATS INTEGRAL AND WHAT IS NOT INTEGRAL TO A PROCEDURE CODE IN CPT
Take a look at the "Separate Procedure" guidelines in the surgery guidelines section. Many of the component codes are designated by the term "separate procedure," which means you do not code them separately if they are part of a more comprehensive procedure. Also, many coders in the industry utilized electronic encoder products, which have built in edit checks for comprehensive/component code unbundling. If all else fails, research the procedure in question to understand what all is a standard part of that specific procedure so you know what is normally included and not to be captured separately. It does take practice and experience.
hello, I was wondering how you keep you pages from slipping out of the rings? I'm having that issue and I just received the book today, thank you
I used "hot glue" in each end and is working perfect!. I let dry the first coat and the next day I did again.
@@jessicacolon1376 thank you!
I keep the spiral spine twisted a bit so the opening are not right where the page holes are. Move them more towards the back of the spine. I still prefer the spiral bound over the regular soft bound though, it is much easier to flip through and keep the pages open as you are reading.
@@savanna2932 You’re welcome.
@@medicalcodingwithdr.jennif9494 I will try when my “hot glue” fell off. Thanks.
Will this book help case managers ?
CPT is used for medical coding and billing for procedures and services performed in an outpatient setting, or for billing professional fees on the inpatient setting. If case managers are involved with any part of the revenue cycle or even quality reviews, then maybe.
Hello can you send me link to download soft copy of cpt 23
The CPT book must be purchased, there is not a free version for download unless you are talking about an eBook version provided by a school if you are enrolled in classes. In that case, you would need to ask your instructor.
Thanks 😊
