Jonas Weichsel at Oldenburger Kunstverein

The conversation between the art critic Michael Stoeber and the painter Jonas Weichsel was recorded in Weichsel’s solo exhibition „Debatte“ at Oldenburger Kunstverein (23 April to 11 July 2021). The artist speaks about the connections between his different paintings and about his conceptual and ultra-precise paintings as an almost reactionary counter-moment to today’s maximum acceleration and consumption of pictorial material online, where an image is no longer current after the next mouse click.
