This might be the most fun build I've ever seen, until your enemies develop the brain power necessary to buy serpents and grievous and render you completely useless
Actually, the death recap times out after 45 seconds so it doesn't measure anything 45 seconds or more ago. So you took significantly more damage over a significantly longer period of time.
@@ricardocoleman2326 Because he mentioned it in the highlight reeli at the beginning I clocked it myself when the fight came and was like "wait it stopped at 45seconds I bet there's a cap" and this guy confirmed for us haha
hey ross! just wanted to say thank you for everything. your content is genuinely so hilarious and cheers me up after tough days. really appreciate u for all that you may have unwillingly done. Lots of love from Australia man, thanks for making the game fun for me again!
It's an interesting build, but the glaring problem I'm seeing with it is that Mordekaiser's W, which all this shielding and healing is based around, is built up from the damage he deals and takes, and this is an extremely low damage and not tanky build. His W is being used more to just keep hanging on in small increments rather than for huge shields and healing most of the time. Like we saw, as soon as anyone buys GW and Serpent's Fang, Morde just becomes useless, can't even get this huge sustain.
Even if he doesn't attack at all, he can heal for over 56.72% of the damage he's taken with this build (15% PRE-mitigation * 2.75 * 0.5 * 2.75). Since it's pre-mitigation, if Armor and MR reduces damage taken by 50% (gained at 100 resistances), this amount effectively doubles, meaning he actually heals for up to 113% of damage taken every time he double casts W. With both Serpent's fang and Grievous Wounds maxed out on Morde this becomes 22.6% of damage taken that he can heal for. On top of that, he has incredibly high base scalings. His passive deals 15 + 5% Max HP per second max level, 387 with an isolated Q max level, and 140 with an E max level, all with literally 0 AP and 15% magic pen. So he can deal about 914 in 10 seconds with his Q and E, 150 + 50% MAX HP over that duration with his passive. So not including his basic attacks, we're at 1064 +50% max HP damage within 10 seconds without a single point of AP. if they have 2000 HP, rather low but not super low, he deals a total of 2064 Pre-Mitigation damage, building up to 928 points for his shield and healing for 3512 points of health, or 702 with Serpent's Fang and max Grevious Wounds. This is assuming he hasn't taken any damage to fuel his shield, has literally 0 AP, refuses to auto attack, hasn't hit anything else with any of his abilities, and ignores the base shield he gets when it comes off cooldown.
@@darkfire1408 And in practice literally any duelist with Serp Fang and GW smacks his ass, as seen here. That's before accounting for the 4 other people he's supposed to tank.
@@chaotixthefox this is honestly not too different from the problems morde normally has, he has always gotten fucked by GW and fang, it's nothing new it's just more prominent here
The combo shuts his W down hard. The healing is based on his shield, so in the end you get half the shield which in turn turns into a fourth of healing due to grievious wounds. In the end he was just playing with 1/4 of the potential :(
This build might actually be decent into AP-heavy teams. Take Mercs for your boots and you have upwards of 100 MR from items; plus, AP champions can't really itemize Serpent's Fang.
Thing is, without fang you get huge heal, and without gw you still heal for almost the entire shield, so you are forcing them ALL to build into 2 items, or else they can't beat you. Not to mention if you use your e backwards to keep them off you for a second you can wait for the things to wear off and then regen to full
Day 187, we past the three digit numbers boys, since that is apparently how we gotta do it - Do maximum Movement speed Nocturne, because you can run from your nightmares, but they are faster than you. Especially if you are an ADC. Day 158, post 1st month anniversary - Play with the following team of five: Annie, Ivern, Shaco, Yorick, + (optional 5th pick) Azir/Kindred/Kled and Skarl/Lulu and Pix/Malzahar/Neeko/Nunu and Willump/Quinn and Valor/Sejuani and Bristle - so that the match is a 10+ v 5.
This build is actually really nice with rift maker instead of moonstone, because all of the bonuses apply to riftmaker healing. That plus the extra damage and heal makes it way better
So this is why there was some fool playing mord with a moonstone renewer in my game. He was on the enemy team. Never seen a mord with 4 kills deal less damage
This is what Mordekaiser should've been from the start, this is how I expected his W to work the first time I played him, but instead I was met with immeasurable disappointment
And speaking of moonstone, give moonstone to AP Twitch support if you want some dumb fun. He has the longest duration DoT of any champ in the game and can apply it from range from stealth and then retreat to heal his teammate over the next 6 seconds while the poison ticks down. You can even build Demonic Embrace afterwards for even more out-of-combat time, since the DoT on that can be applied with his E right before the first poison ticks run out.
I realized this a while ago but if you look at the time in the bottom right corner you can see that each rock paper scissors has a different time and if you figure out which time goes with each you can always win against ross.

Another idea from the replies on another video: league of legends but ross dubs over a Maizy gameplay in real time and does his best to make it look like it was him playing. Day 251
I feel like the 3rd item should have been armor, or at least a bramble, before the next item, because you were taking 70% physical damage. Can't heal/shield and fully benefit from CDR when you're getting burst down, and unlike Sett, this shield checks pre-mitigation damage, so an equal EHP increase from armor or MR is actually more valuable than flat HP, as it stacks the shield faster. You need a balance of: - Effective HP (to maximize shield value - note that resists are better than HP for this build, given the same increase in EHP, because they allow the shield to stack relatively faster), - damage (build shield value faster), - CDR (to increase shield/heal frequency), - heal+shield power, (to maximize healing compared to the shield amount) Spirit visage is multiplicative with heal + shield power. With moonstone + Visage, you're at an effective 68.75 shield/~184.76 heal power after 5 seconds in combat. With moonstone, that increases to an effective 93.75 shield/~275.4 heal power. Heal/shield power stacks additively, but applies to both the shield and the heal. Keep in mind that unless the shield power surpasses 100, the shield is still larger than the heal). However, you have no armor at that point, and even just 50 armor is a 50% increase in effective HP vs physical damage, which is similar in value to that ~15% increase in shielding/50% increase in healing, so building an item that gives significant armor likely gives you more effective staying power than redemption, with Randuins being the best one due to also giving CDR. The optimal build, going purely for maximum effective HP is probably something like: Moonstone -> armor/CDR boots (armor boots are significantly better than CDR boots vs physical damage) -> Visage -> randuins/thornmail -> Redemption -> Stoneplate If you want to deal some damage, the best choices probably be Daemonic Embrace, Zhonya's, or Cosmic Drive (40%/25% shorter relative cd on abilities compared to alternatives). Cosmic drive results in similar effective healing over time to Stoneplate (more actual healing if you are somehow filling up the bar every 3s, but with less resists, resulting in the effectiveness of the heal being lower, disregarding % penetration), while also increasing damage, but doesn't have the active for another giant shield to buy time, and is more vulnerable to burst. Given just how strong stoneplate is looking with this build, Cosmic drive looks like a good balance of damage and healing. Fun fact: the final 2 items of the build increase effective healing over time to ~4x what it is at 3 items + boots... The healing scales extremely well. Sadly, serpent's fang alone cuts the healing by 75%, which means if the enemy team has someone that can reasonably build serpent's fang, the build runs into a serious problem at that stage.
"Fist of the North Star" Skarner | Day 11 Runes: Lethal Tempo - Triumph/Alacrity/Coup De Grace | Cheap Shot/Ravenous Hunter Build: Berserker's Greaves -> Kraken Slayer -> Muramana -> Guinsoo's Rageblade -> Blade of the Ruined King -> Wit's End OR Abyssal Mask Take crystals, beat the life out of anyone who tries to fight you for them with your AAs and Qs. - heal+shield power, (to maximize healing compared to the shield amount)
Spirit visage is multiplicative with heal + shield power.
The optimal build, going purely for maximum effective HP is probably something like:
Moonstone -> armor/CDR boots (armor boots are significantly better than CDR boots vs physical damage) -> Visage -> randuins/thornmail -> Redemption -> Stoneplate
If you want to deal some damage, the best choices probably be Daemonic Embrace, Zhonya's, or Cosmic Drive (40%/25% shorter relative cd on abilities compared to alternatives).

Take crystals, beat the life out of anyone who tries to fight you for them with your AAs and Qs. Recommended in Jungle so that you can gain maximum value out of taking crystals and terrorize the enemy jungler.
I have been doing this in Aram for months and it really does work
18: 15 That's lotta damage!
Duuuuuudde! I’ve been using this build 3 months after I saw a post on Instagram. It’s amazing!
