Romero is actually a pretty great goalkeeper, though.
@@lassebasseish You don't watch them. He's on the bench because their first keeper is De Gea, who was the best in the world for a few years. Romero always plays in the cups and gets clean sheets. His season in 2016/17 to win the Europa League was unbelievable. Romero could be starting for Chelsea. Romero doesn't mind sitting on the bench because he was a boyhood fan and it was his dream to play for United, so he would be fine not being 1st choice. This is why United got him on free transfer.
Emiliano Martinez is the GOAT. The successor to Sergio Romero.

For me as a argentinan fan the best goalkeeper in argentina are Fillol, Goycochea and Romero
But the worst ive seen are Pumpindo (if im right), 94 argentina GK , 74 argentina GK and Caballero that he is the worst goalkeeper i ever seen!

So why exactly do Argentina have a history of bad goalkeepers? The video doesnt quite awnser the question of the title all he said is that too many goalkeepers play in europe but isnt that a good thing? They play in the best possible leagues there and thereby become alot better. I would guess that anyone who stays in Argentina is much worse than those who play in the highest leagues.
Ralf Rudi they play in European teams and when they are good the manager asks them to change their nationality.Like Messi was asked to change his nationality to Spanish but he didn't. Messi would already have won a world cup if he would have accepted that.

The title of the video is absolutely wrong. It's easy demostrated by the fact that Argentina actually holds the record of penalties saved by their goalkeepers in world cups history. Argentine goalkeepers are the best in that. Argentina has a rich story of great goalkeepers. 1978 Filliol, 1990 Goycochea, 1998 Roa, 2006 Abbondanzieri, 2014 Romero, 2022 Martinez. All they great goalkeepers that saved goals in penalty kicks. Argentina has the record of most games won by penalty kicks in world cup history and that's because Argentina has better goalkeepers than all the other countries in the world

It's easy to blame goalkeeper. When strikers make mistakes it's zero goal score, but when goalie make a mistake...
Because it's the goalie mistake they lose against croatia numbnuts. They were doing good in the 1st half. But in the second half after willy make such shit mistake and cost his team a goal. It breaks the spirit of argentina team and that's why they concede 2 more goals
