@abufaris224 no no Omoda5 is fine, just T7 has a better overall value compared to O5. O5 is alot sexy 😍 but T7 has move value at the launch promo price.... still enjoying the O5 ...thanks
Because everyone makes such a big deal out of it. We don't think it's an issue because statistically most people call their insurers for assistance, so we actually stand behind UMW Toyota's decision to remove it.
@@MalaysianMotoringYes I agree. Most people will ask insurance company do those things. Don’t know why people make a fuss about it including foldable rear seats. How often you gonna use foldable rear seats. For me, never use it during ownership. Just my opinion.
Yup bcz vios is such a mass market car, which ppl tend to buy a car to do as many things as possible..that's why folded rear seat, rear seat armrest and spare tires are matters for most ppl..if luxury cars that runs on flat tires, ppl wont complain it..i suspect this new dnga based vios wont held value well against honda city in 5-7 years time..
While other automakers are adding cool features to improve their new vehicles, here I'm Malaysia our car brands Proton and Perodua are still rebadging cars from foreign brands... In 2023-2024!!!! And worst can't even give LED lights as a standard feature... A NEW CAR WITHOUT LED LIGHTS AS STANDARD... yet they have the guts to say they are ready to go into electrification. People may get angry of what I said and most people may not care about it, but as a Malaysian I'm not even proud of our local car brands this is the reality folks, people will pay their hard-earning money to get a new Perodua or a Proton only to find out that the car is from the mid-2000s. At this point both brands just feel sooo....blend, dull and no soul.Even Chinese car brands are starting to become more Premium and competitive. Even Hyundai, a Korean brand used to make crappy cars, is starting to catch up with the Americans, British, Europeans and Japanese. And that only left our both local brands, still soooo stingy to NOT even make LEDs, front facing camera and backup camera as standard features.🙃
Because there is no protection, and Chery is eligible for the same tax reductions by virtue of local content in their cars. It is a misnomer that PROTON & Perodua get favourable tax rates. Any carmaker can get the same tax incentives if they use the same amount of local parts. Chery does.
Proton in South Africa are asking way too much for their vehicles, leaving themselves wide open to the Chinese competition, who are sweeping the floor with them on price and overall value for money.
Have been waiting for this for ages! We have our name down for both x70 and tiggo 7 pro. Probably wait for the new x70 to make a final decision but it will be first car ever. Any tips on how to compare the two when we test drive them.

@@MalaysianMotoring great! I have already placed my booking for the J7, but am undecided if I should proceed with it. Am looking forward to your review for more clarity 🙏🏻
@@Aaronnn96I've went to test drive the J7 at Bukit Jalil showroom. For me, the ride is numb, and suspension feels weird for a new car. It doesn't dampens bumps and potholes that well for a 150k car. Better consider Chery if you are in the market for China cars. J7 only wins in terms of tech and exterior design. But it does gets boring quick

First "big fiasco" was a fabrication, and the perpetrator will face legal recourse as a result of their irresponsible behaviour. The second "big fiasco" was identified and owners were contacted within 24hrs, and resolved almost entirely within 1-week. No other carmaker has managed to address an issue that quickly or resolutely in the history of the Malaysian automotive industry. The J7 is more expensive. It justifies that expense to some degree. Only thing we'd recommend is to try them both to understand the subtle and not-so-subtle differences between them.

Yea I think more people should educate themselves on changing a spare tire, but not having one on a Vios is still wild🤣🤣

The rear seats were a tad bit too upright for me. In this aspect, the X70 still tops in terms of rear seat comfort.
rm30k cheaper than corolla cross.

Simple, led replacement will be danggg expensive, and the market target is for b40, so go figure.
Before buying, check out the service cost for the tiggo 7 pro. It costs more to maintain this car than the tiggo 8 pro!
That's how they're aiming to recover back their cost. Very sneaky of Chery to do this!
Yes the recommended frequency to replace the interior air-cond filter & spark plugs are ridiculous!
i think rm500 per svc or rm1100 is ok.. Just that you are poor... 😂

Generally its the 'poor' that looks into the details as compared to the 'rich' which only want to glance at the surface level.
How come X70 as national car with so much protection and lesser tax but same price as cherry tiggo 7?

What's important is that Chery handle the 2nd issue very well.
