I don’t know what it is, but goodbyes like that always break my heart. It should be so simple, but it’s so painfully touched by finality and grief. A friend, mentor, partner, even mother-figure. It hurts.
Magnificent. The song is of course a melancholy masterpiece that I can never get enough of. But it takes a real love and heart to twist and twine the scenes such to artfully recount such a tale faithfully. Especially that end. The end of the story, the end of the song, the end of this tragedy, the end of the series (I hope not but don’t dare to believe). A broken image, a broken heart, a silent voice.
I fundamentally believe that the pinnacle of humanity, our cultures, our civilisations, our life, is the creation of arts. Of sight, of image, of sound, of song, of silence, of speech, of story, of meaning, of memory, of imagination, of emotion, of love, of tragedy, of experience, of revenge, of heart, of bitterness, of bitter sweetness of motion, of action, of consequence, of resolve, of beginning, of creating, of living, of enduring, of dying, of ending and of soul. With this in mind, the melding of picture, animation, music, song, speech, dialogue, narrative and experience that is seen in our games, our shows, our stories… is the apex of humanity. This… is a heartfelt example.
A fitting dirge for the one with her life stolen from her. An elegy for what could no longer be. She wasn’t the kindest of souls, nor the most empathetic. But she was brave, she was kind where it was needed and above all, strong of heart and resolve. If only such could be returned to her for all that was taken, and what little she had left that she gave. I wish after all of that she could have had a happier ending. Some time at least to live life as it should. Thought I suppose she didn’t want it, or felt she deserved it. Perhaps Accord’s feeling might be right, she might still be out there, and they may meet again. The next time I hope, with a chance to live a life not touched by torment. But I cannot help but feel that without Mikhail there might not be anyone left live for. As Michael knew well, it would be like death.

@@micketm3 I always hoped for a good birth and end of Zero, the script gave Zero nothing but devil. The experienced life of Zero doesnt fit to her style and outfit, also her experience is difficult to be linked to what she is trying to do in the whole game( to save the world)
The song ends. What’s left but silence? The story ends. Nothing left but a fade to black. The game ends. All that’s left is the silence after farewell.
Her voice ,phrasing of notes,conviction,emotion,etc...is amazing 🙂❤
This song and the characters, such a intriguing game. All the taboos explored, one of the reasons I always loved the drakengard series
Good night... Zero

one of the best games ever played, one the best character i see, even with its technical problems, a masterpiece, zero is eternal

i somewhat hope this is the end. they suffered enough
The song ends. Always in silence.
At long last something to call her own.
If life cannot be decided, then choose its ending.

@Belle Trois
Don’t judge me. I was sleep deprived and thoughts tend to tumble out of my head like that.

That ending sounded strange.
The whisper still creeps me out.......
The song ends.
What’s left but silence?
The story ends.
Nothing left but a fade to black.
The game ends.
