RoboForm password manager has been around for decades - and it’s still holding well today. But before you buy RoboForm.. is it actually worth it? Maybe the free version is enough? Well, I did a proper RoboForm Free vs RoboForm Everywhere comparison and I’ve got some interesting results to share.
    --------------------------------------
    ❓ Is RoboForm good?
As far as basics go - both free and premium RoboForm versions work fine. And as one of the best password manager candidates, it has all the essentials. There’s a password filler and a form filler, I also found a proper password generator and even a password audit to check if your logins are actually safe.
    🔎 Password sharing
Now, RoboForm Everywhere and RoboForm free can both securely send and share logins. However, this is where I started encountering differences. During my premium RoboForm review, I was able to share passwords and create secure shared folders. The latter saves a lot of hassle whenever I have more than one item to share.
    🔦 Are both versions secure?
The base of this password manager remains the same. Whether it’s a RoboForm everywhere review or the free version - all user passwords are protected by standard AES-256-bit encryption.
So, is RoboForm Free good and safe then? Not entirely. My biggest concern is the lack of 2FA within the free RoboForm version. These days, 2FA is essential - this way, even if your master password gets compromised, you have a second layer of protection in place. Now, “RoboForm Everywhere” has quite a few 2FA options. But RoboForm free, in my opinion, should too.
💥 No cloud backup with the free version??
Another concern I have is the lack of Cloud backup with the free RoboForm version. If something happens to your device and you lose your data - that's it, you’re gonna have to start from zero.
🔑 Are both versions easy to use?
Now - the RoboForm apps themselves are fine. The Windows version could look a bit more modern but it’s perfectly functional. RoboForm iOS and RoboForm Android apps look modern, and everything is neatly divided into these tabs.
Now, I dunno about you but I like my password manager to be on ALL my devices. At least MOST of them. But the RoboForm free version robbed me of that. Since there’s no cloud backup - there’s no syncing across devices. It KIND OF of makes sense since the free version allows one device connection. But then, if I need something on a different device - I have to type it all out.
In this area, my free RoboForm review got a bit disappointing. Thankfully, the Premium version improves this aspect - not only does it sync between devices, but I also got access to my stuff through their website. I basically can log in and see my info anywhere, anytime.
    --------------------------------------
❓ Is RoboForm actually worth it?
After this review - my answer is a solid yes - and there are two reasons why. First, it’s super affordable, being one of the cheapest password managers in the market currently. And second, RoboForm everywhere improves the free version by quite a bit - making it not only SAFER but much EASIER to use as well.

How do you get the free version? I downloaded it but it only has a free 30 trial.
Does it just turn into the free version after the 30 day free trial?

The only free password manager that I would only suggest is BitWarden. That it is open source is the icing on the cake.
