If that man can make a mannequin's hair look that beautiful, imagine what he could do with a real person. Mannequins are VERY difficult to work with because there just isn't enough hair and the hair doesn't act like a real person's hair would. This man is so talented!

I would love to see some other hairstyles worn by other women through Japanese history. All I see I just this Geisha Wedding and Oiran styles. But seeing a few movies I notice there were quite a few other hairstyles worn by women in the past.
well the thing is, is that geisha wore the typical hairstyles of women during the edo time period.... there are only a handful of hairstyles which are only worn specifically by geisha / maiko. So most of the hairstyles are the same as what was worn by actual women. It is just that the ones that geisha wear, the culture is still practiced so it is easier to replicate because they are a part of a tradtitional nihongami's repetoire.

I kept this style for about 5 days.
They keep it for a week or so. Sleeping on a wooden pillow to keep their hair from being ruined.
