Im much more likely to judge someone's music taste if its all mainstream and not even abit personalized than if its something i dont like. The greats are mainstream for a reason, but if your taste never goes outside of only mainstream songs then im gonna judge abit (unless you say you dont really care about music and thats all you know, then its whatever) I popped off when you mentioned Three Days Grace, super nostalgic to me, peak highschool (the three songs you mentioned are my favourite from the band) And i also super agree with you on missing rock rap music. Thousand Foot Krutch is some of my favourite from that style (end is where we begin, welcome to the masquerade, and art of breaking are some of my favourite rock albums to this day) Honestly i feel like J-Rock took the mantle and continued what made me fall in love the most about rock music. The band that revitalized my love to this style is Survive Said the Prophet (Bandaid, Fool's Gold, Heroine are my top 3 songs right now). It may be true that i found most the J-Rock and alittle bit J-pop songs through Anime openings and endings but the artists are still so perfect for what im looking for half the time. (Very basic take in the anime world but i also love YOASOBI and Creepy Nuts)
