Thanks to watching your video I finally beat this mission first try after the video. I just struggled for some reason to beat this mission in the second half.
If I still have this game the first thing that i would do is to separate each of the soldiers with different weapons into there own squad. Like (1 platoon is only armed with SMGs), (1 platoon armed only with LMGs), (1 platoon armed only with RIFLES) and I would make a platoon completely with medics. The reason why is because it helps with resuppling no more mis-matching ammo. Also I literally would have a platoon completely armed only with .50CAL HEAVY MACHINE GUNS because I literally didn't know that you could do it.
Yep! Thanks! I know you could but sometimes i accidentally just select multiple units. The item swapping saved my dudes lifes in part 3 and 4 thats for sure. I am a bit of a noob but hope you enjoy these battles
@@SaucyNetworkEntertainment yep, i like watching you playing strategy games, your skill is top shelf as always and your calm voice is perfect for such things! ps also if you want your tanks to stay alive for a longer time you should use "romb tactick" so enemy shells will rickoshet from your tank. pps you can move actions (when you choose a unit) from right menu to middle-bottom menu with right mouse button, it helps a lot.
Men Of War 2 is due out this year. The actual sequel to Men Of War. Men Of War: Assault Squad 2 though is still worth getting right now. It is a very good game. It's fun just to watch the action, but gameplay is as fun as it gets. You can tell your units to go here and do this or you can take control of one of them and do it yourself. You can do as much or as little micro-manage as you like, and if so inclined there is a lot of detail you can get into.
I definitely recommend you check out the "SirHinkel's AS2 Missions" mod. I believe it's currently only on moddb and not the workshop, but it is by far the best collection of singleplayer scenarios, many of them being better than base game ones. Also mortars were integral to all infantry in ww2 for a good reason ;) You should buy them. Edit: And just as i wrote that you brough one xd.
you're having trouble because your being to indecisive. and moving units up piece meal making it easy for the enemy to focus fire. gather larger groups and rush forward with armor support, multiple tanks. you can't be afraid to sustain some losses but you'll overwhelm them and loss less in the long run.
I only play as1 and I enjoyed it specially capturing German tanks like the tiger and panther I wonder why the player didn't repair distroyed German tank it's useful and free just use rifle infantry to crew it or tank crew from distroyed tank..... It's better if he use airborne on at guns specially the rocket on the last plank.. Capturing mg from tank is also useful and deadly to infantry

@@paulmartens9084 I switch to Normal difficulty. Much better. Hard became exhausting trying to micro manage the infinite counter attacks and just the relentless nature of the AI. It’s not fun. Normal is much better. Gives you breathing room to consolidate your defences and slowly push forward!
@@LaMOi1 Lmao, the Germans on hard mode automatically start spawning tigers over, and over again after you've captured a few points, it's really not fun.

I got the Vanilla GOTY version of this game - how do you get those icons above soldiers ? - i am getting only silver arrow not flag like icons above units how do you move camera angle - from north to pointing from south ? how do you make roof tops disappear when troops enter houses ? Nice video - playing this game requires lot of patience and making video of it requires twice as much - so nice upload - well done Also your soldiers are turning blue when viewed from distance, my version they remain as it is and thus difficult to spot - any mods you are using or just upgraded version (i may have got the wrong version from GOG}
Hi, lets take your questions one at a time. In general: the option panels are placed in lower left corner of the window. I suggest you play your way through the introduction mission. It is located in "Bonus missions" when you select missions. 1. The icon you speak of is called "Show squad icons" and it is located in "Map setup" in-game. 2. The camera angle is controlled with the mouse-wheel, scrolling with zoom in or out, pressing the wheel will let you change the angle of the camera. 3. The roof will disappear in one story houses. 4. You can highlight your troops with color blue when they are placed behind object, the same goes for the enemy (they are highlighted in red). The setting is called "highlight silhouettes" and is turned on/off in-game.

btw you can control units directly and every unit even has it's own inventory and you can swap items between them

This mission took me 2-3 days, because i didn't know how to use the at unit and i didn't know that you could get the tank.
It wasn’t to hard I thought on easy mode but I am now trying to do it on hard and my god I have to make battle plans before i even load up the game

Origins is better campaign-wise, because AS2 definitely rehashed missions among the different nations.

@@LaMOi1 use mortars and supply trucks and it should be easier on Hard and Heroic, AT infantry is your best friend
