People don’t realize that marriage is like a full time job. Everyday you are dying to yourself, sacrificing yourself to please your mate. Life stresses can come up, job losses, health problems, your goals and personalities can change over time, expectations rise and then when children come into the picture get ready for a tough life. With all the life stresses in marriage, imagine trying to at the same time run a successful ministry. Hopefully your mate has the same goals and can tolerate suffering and is strong willed enough to withstand anything that can come along the way. People just want to have a happy and comfortable life and most people can’t handle it when the going gets tough. i really believe that in finding a mate it’s not about finding the perfect person, because they won’t always be perfect, it’s about finding a person that can tolerate and be loyal and go along with things. One whose willing to suffer through and doesn’t think of themselves.

My uncle was a great person, past on at 93 years young. Never married. He cared for other people and sacrificed that part of his life. Lived an old fashioned farming country life, and always had a smile to pass out... God Bless you all. Myself 31 yrs and you are so correct, a price is payed...
God bless your Uncle man... nowadays, can't be too sure who you marry, that and with feminism on the rise, as much as I would like to get marry, there's to much at risk.
I just hope God continues to help me in life like he always has, and honestly, he always has!

Its true. We live in a fantasy. I had to lower my standards (looks,job,education,certain character traits I WANTED were OUT!). I , however made the mistake at a time with lowering my standards too low, and realed in some odd catches. It was not good. It wasn't until I drew close to God,sought what He sought in my life (my desire became His desires), and sacrificed the idea of ever being married, telling God if wanted me to serve Him alone I was truly content with that. His will be done. Only then did I find the young man I thought I would never find....and he had been right there all along! He had been praying for a good Christian friend and so was I. God brought us together! And yes, a relationship does take work. Love is a choice, not just an attraction. And you may choose the 'perfect' spouse...you still have to love the Lord with all your heart. And love others (specifically your spouse) as your self. Sometimes doing either or of those things is not easy and therefore requires faith and a little push on your part. NOTE: this is from my experience and what I have found in the Scriptures. Please test anything said with God's Word. I could be wrong.

This is excellent advice. Excellent! I have been alone for 11 years... I just started thinking that maybe I might date again. I pray that Heavenly Father blesses Pastor Kim with the wife he is meant to have. 💞
Why don't you guys pray that God will send you right spouse and wait, rather than talk trash like "dating Pastor Kim" or start "dating app"? I suggest you pray for a Godly spouse. I know that's what Pastor Kim would be doing, ask God to send a right person along if it's his WILL. This talk some of you guys are doing about "dating him" "start dating app" etc really show you are not learning anything from your Bible or let alone Pastor Kim's videos

Come to Finland and you will be shocked with the number of divorces, it was unheard of when I lived in Zambia, until I moved here, then I noticed how people take marriage....
No one's perfect just accept it.
No doubt but there are some that you know are unbearable to date.
I thought I found someone who would be willing to serve God. Thing is, he is in church ...end result, he does the same thing people who are in the world. Serve God! . Stay faithful to him! I made the wrong decision, please, please, believe scripture where it teaches us that keeping company with angry men will end up hurting you! People will hide who they are until they think they have you convinced they are godly, then they pull off their masks.

I have watched many and I do mean many of this mans videos. I just stopped here to see what he had to say.He is a great bible teacher. I have been as what one would say, married to the same woman for 32 years and we both believe in God* and Christ Jesus*. Their is some one for every one out their, all you have to do is look. Gene Kim is handsome too, is he married? If not, Plz God, send him to me, LOL. But I remember, my late father was a pastor and handsome too. And many women favorited him and did some efforts to get his and ours attention. Like sending flowers, etc, some of them really fell in love. I thought my mom was hard to cope that situation.

People these days call themselves "Christian", but they are not following the word of God. I've been hounded more on "date", with these so called "Christian" men - than the "worldly" men! These people "go to church", but it's just a social gathering to them - not there to here the transforming words from the Lord... I'm good be single - no children.. Well, Will Smith has a no-nonsense marriage with his wife, and doesn't believe in getting a divorce (like, they ACTUALLY talk about their issues).
I'd say God is probably working with them in their marriage.

13:00 powerful things teens need to hear
I knew it was a fantacy from the start. It just makes sense that it is nearly impossible. My father is saved and is married to an atheist. Yet they know their own and each others defects. They know that they have differing and opposite ideas. Yet they prosper and stay out of debt for over 20 years in happiness. My grandparents nearly went into divorce untill my grandfather started read his Bible. Me and my father are reading one chapter of proverbs per day in December right now to gain wisdom and knowledge together. I fear that the Bible Believing Christian is hard to find and that is one of the few requirements. I fear loneliness.
Don't worry, God is always with you, so one is never TRULY alone.. just keep him in your heart.

I never dated as a teenager as well till 25... idk teenage girls looked more trouble than fun and they never knew what they wanted in life, always changing their minds... I was always attracted to older woman(25-30). Woman that age are more serious and already know what they want, not flip flopping every 10 seconds.

I think whatever leads a person to be saved in Jesus. married or not. Why gain the world but lose your soul. But that is very idealist thinking. Probably just doing ur best is all u can do. Like Gene is saying. We are very blessed to have BBC on here. There is tons of false doctrine and false teachers out there in this age. God bless. And the bible isn't a very easy book to digest for people of today, we need all the pastors on here that we can get.

Great teaching Pastor K.. I find it amazing how the Lord uses you to get through to us BBBC's. I absolutely appreciate how you use the whole counsel of God unlike any other Teacher/Preacher I've come across. Especially these hush, hush subjectsI All scripture is important & filled with examples good/bad for a reason. The sheep need both encouragement as well as conviction!! I can only speak from personal experience, yes I have Jesus, brains & beauty but those 3 indeed make it even harder. Add to that "pay the price" one fears getting stuck with a "weirdo" or someone else's problems because my Jesus says marriage is for life!!.. Truth be told one can catch more queen bees w/honey so honesty & personality is a must. Yes I sway from any weirdo w\bad breath or introvert which means no online dating for me... Honestly I have no idea how a pastor's wife does it, it sees like a ton of work. Marriage to a Pastor is a huge decision and comes with even bigger expectations, those are some strong women there!! I honestly do not believe marriage is meant for everyone, my rule book leaves it open for discussion... If you feel marriage is a necessity for you & it's what you really want you should never be afraid to give it to the Lord and pray fervently. Its been going on for way too long & like the movie "They Live" this crap has been in our faces for a mega bunch of years, being passed off 1st as false god worship, then "entertainment", then consumerism especially if 1 wants to look at a character known as "Rosie the Riveter" back in the great depression along with some others already in Film telling us to consume & now, politics.
Its also being pushed like no tomorrow in religion including mainstream Christianity & has pretty much infiltrated catholocism, especially in Sweden where whoever is in charge wants God to be Androgynous, along with language enforcing this notion.

That's what a lot of people might not know. Real relationships don't care about the publicity. All these display relationship just looks shallow. Perfect example was the royal wedding. Like really? I've read more romance when a couple got a secret wedding on a beach when the sun was setting.
