i'm on switch and holy shit its annoying i downloaded it "in australia" and yeah the content downloaded but cyrax and sector still showed up with + symbol also the shop still asked me to pay the $59.95 for the dlc so i had to delete my game restart the download oh well ill play luigis mansion 3 on yuzu lol

Emperor Rain and Empress Tanya were the best part of this DLC imo. Their conversations about their timeline just makes me imagine what they been through going up against Evil Li Mei and Reiko. I also like to imagine what their reign was like and their devotion to one another. R.I.P. emperor rain and long live Empress Tanya :(

I liked Rain, Tanya was way too basic & stereotypical, also her being able to speak with the dragon in that goofy language made me cringe so hard, another retcon since the dragons in Armageddon didn’t speak telepathically & they never had a “ancient language”, they just spoke English.

Well.... that was a shit ending. Nothing happened, everything's resolved. Either they plan to make another one that adds onto this or they ran out of time to flesh it out because that shit was very midloaded. What the actual fuck.

Liu Kang should be able to restore Bi-Han, one of two ways:
1. Using the Ginsei at the sky temple.
2. Go the route of Ultimate MK3. Splitting Bi-Han's soul, having classic Subzero, and Noob Saibot.
Sky temple is the old timeline, only the fire temple is the one and there is no mention of a jinsei in this.

There's no telling if it has effects on chaos magic. Maybe there is, but requiring time, and without risking the change into the Jinsei.
This wasn't a good DLC, main game despite it's various flaws was better than this. It doesn't even feel finished.

If Noob's mk1 ending is to be believed, there is no Sub-zero anymore in this continuity. Kuai is Scorpion so no one can fill the spot. But....Hanzo is here in this universe. As a kid. I doubt they'd keep him just for cutscenes as the guy was and still is one of, if the not most popular character in the game. So here me out, I think they are setting up Hanzo to become Sub-zero. Liu Kang already switched him out, who's to say that he didn't just remove Hanzo from the role, but gave him one he saw fit? Now I think it could go that his rage becomes coldness and cruelty as he becomes the titular character, but then ends up becoming a better Sub-zero than Bi-han. Essentially, I think they tryna pull a Damian Wayne.

Also, I think part of what made scorpion's wife and child being killed more impactful is that they were innocent and not directly involved in the Lin Kuei Shirai Ryu conflict. Making her a fighter in this timeline and then her not dying seems kind of silly unless Scorpion himself was the one saving her, something he would have loved to do in another timeline.

Offering General Shao mercy didn't quell the uprising he created, it only postponed the inevitable once he broke out. A non-violent stance sounds nice and all, but it's clear that it hasn't worked in this timeline. Liu Kang is starting to sound like Kronika. Obsessed with achieving a perfect outcome and failing at every turn. Also 22:34 happens and makes everything Liu Kang said moot. I guess he expects Mileena to just take this laying down too.

50:08 I loath this "humanizing sector" thing they're attempting to do. Sector is supposed to be Cyrax's commanding officer and trainer and lied to her for no other reason but to advance herself. That isn't her being misunderstood. That's her being a villain. Her having feelings for Sub-Zero doesn't negate that she's a villain so lets stop pretending like she's this 3-dimensional person with complicated reasons for her actions.
This story mode is all over the place. Tanya can read the minds of dragons, Orin is a female because of course she is, Sub Zero becomes even more buck broken once he turns into Noob, and Rain dies for no reason. Really, why didn't Noob get the same chance at redemption that Cyrax got? This story mode really was just a showcase for Cyraxia and Sistor. Everyone else was just a side character to advance their stories.
Its all about the message, not character development and story. I dont feel sorry for anyone who bought this. Mk1 has been trash from the start.

Excellent story once again! I didn't expect Rain and Tanya to get their own chapter, that was a nice surprise. I also really like how much emphasize they put on Bi-Han's character, and how they let it not get resolved already, letting his character development continue to the next game. The fight scenes were amazing and the presentation was incredible as always, both in terms of graphics, voice acting and soundtrack. Overall, amazing story once again by NRS/WB, showing once again why Mortal Kombat is the best fighting game series ever, and why Mortal Kombat 1 is OBJECTIVELY PHENOMENAL!

Different, he pull his parts back and put there again using magik, and he can construct his body parts again at a cost of stamina, but he created 30 clones and had his parts ripped out 10x then he got exausted and couldn't remake himself again.

That ending was very underwhelming. How in the hell Noob was able to basically One Shot Havik. A version of Havik that is a Titan AND has the ALL the Kamidogu???? This makes absolutely no sense AT ALL. Then you put Havik’s death off screen? Why didn’t they show what they did with him?

NRS keeps the tradition of inconsistent power levels alive.
Orginally back 98 I think Bi han defeated all earthrealm gods but raiden, then he travels to netherrealm and defeated scorpion, quan chi and shinnok while in possession of amulet, after timeline renewed he become weak, lost to sonya and basically everyfight, when liu kang made him again he made him strong he could defeat 5 guys in a row but not even close to his original strength after all he lost to Cyrax, then havik made him him again but close to his original potential and even more, old noob saibot wasn't that strong he always lost to everyone, because quan chi made him weaker because of that, he was the only one who wasn't restored in netherrealm as corrupted like his brother he become something new. But anyway I think he won because he knew havik and chaos. Personally I would prefer the history to make Noob Saibot the new titan in chaos realm, I think liu kang was scaried because he lost to havik and noob saibot won, had he killed a titan noob would absorb the titan power just like liu kang did with kronika.
The same thing happened in Deception. In Scorpion's arcade ending, he basically one shot Onaga, who also has all the Kamidogu. Chalk it up to MK logic.
Seriously this is what they gave us, less time then aftermath, barely any character development even with drastic changes noob being the prime example and after the maze Havik just becomes an idiot

I think the MK franchise should take a hiatus and reevaluate everything. The story was underwhelming, and the overall game has been subpar. This is coming from a lifelong MK fan
I think it needs to go back to simpler stories and the “timeline” thing should take a backseat now. We’ve seen all that we needed to see with the main game so everything after just feels like filler. They should bring Onaga and perhaps an emperor Shao Kahn back and for the sake of not treading on old ground again, just reintroduce Sonya and Jax and the special forces so we can have them in the mix in the next game along with the shaolin monks, netherealmers and outworlders.

It’s also really ambiguous, it’s like that on purpose in-case this game continues to flop so they don’t waste money making another expansion, I don’t see how they’re going to make another game without finishing this story though, unless they want everyone pissed, again, nobody likes this era.

I feel like there's still much left unanswered. Onaga, the island Shang Tsung found, Titan Havik and his timeline, the resistance consistenting of others from other timelines, and Shao.

This ending confirms a lot:
1. There will definitely be another story (btw who let shao khan escape😭)
2. Some idiot is gonna wake bi han up, idiot most likely being sektor
3. The cyber initiative might still happen, fingers crossed tho….
good I did not bought this, woke kombat, bad animation, very small, bad storie, and the chars I do not like, visualy (noob looks terrible in character design... that glow green has no sense, looks terrible), and I never liked the robots (now female mechas)
My favorite part was the rockets not doing environment damage in the beginning scene😂😂

Rain and tanya getting their own chapter was a big surprise and Emperor Rain was my favorite part of the story.
Still sad that smoke barely got any screentime. And I don't think baraka, reptile, or ashrah appeared at all

This was horrible. Absolutely horrible. There are so many characters that should received a chapter for how little chapters we got. Why wasn’t our havik in this fight? Why didn’t he get a chapter? Why didn’t we have all of the cast at the end with us playing as Kitana as she leads her newly gained army? Why did this feel like a side story around sub zero and scorpions relationship? The whole story didn’t even go anywhere? What was the point of this even?
